Waylon Jennings & the Waymore Blues Band, “I've Always Been Crazy”, from Never Say Die: The Final Concert Film, Nashville, Jan. '00
Listen to Waylon Jennings: WaylonJennings.lnk.to/essenti...
Waylon Jennings played his last major concert at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium in January 2000. Backed by the all-star Waymore Blues Band (“the band I always wanted,” he later recalled) along with his wife Jessi Colter and guests John Anderson, Travis Tritt and Montgomery Gentry, Waylon delivered a moving, exhilarating performance, revisiting his greatest songs one last time.
Waylon Jennings was an American country music singer, songwriter, and musician. Often credited as a pioneer of the outlaw country movement, a subgenre of country music that is characterized by its rebellious, anti-establishment themes and sound. Jennings had many hits, some of which have been covered by other artists or have become country classics. He collaborated with many other artists, including Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Cash.
His most popular and well-known songs include "Good Hearted Woman," "Luckenbach Texas," and "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to Be Cowboys".
Similar artists to Jennings include Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, and Kris Kristofferson.

Lyrics:
I've always been crazy and the trouble that it's put me through
I've been busted for things that I did, and I didn't do
I can't say I'm proud of all of the things that I've done
But I can say I've never intentionally hurt anyone
I've always been different with one foot over the line
Winding up somewhere one step ahead or behind
It ain't been so easy but I guess I shouldn't complain
I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane
Beautiful lady, are you sure that you understand
The chances your taking loving a free living man
Are you really sure, you really want what you see
Be careful of something that's just what you want it to be
I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane
Nobody knows if it's something to bless or to blame
So far I ain't found a rhyme or a reason to change
I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane

@@jmit3491 The others may not come as close to the money or main stream popularity as Jamey, but as far as musical talent and SONGWRITING I'd have to say Cody Jinks and Jason Boland are most definitely a good place to start. Most artists today have no clue how to even write a song. To me if you don't write you're own songs you're no more than a hired gun faking it. Singing about someone elses experiences...A rip off.. Thats not being an artist. It means it's fake. If you're just singing about someone else's experiences the problem there is I don't believe you when you're singing. Because it's not YOURE song .. a cover, and every now and then cutting someone else's song because you relate to it is fine. But to me if you can't write a song you're a fraud. That's where so many artists today lack. I like Jamey Johnson and he's a great songwriter. As long as I forget that he wrote honky-tonk Badonkydonk..🙄🤮 He went down a notch when he wrote that... But hey at least he's an actual artist and creates music. Boland is a modern day mix of Hemingway, Kristofferson, and Hank Williams. A true songwriter and musician.

Y lo vuelvo a escuchar y siempre le encuentro esa magia de la música sincopada y profundamente Celtica. Una armonía que trasciende y llega al infinito. Waylon, eres único,,, I love for ever.💖💖💖💖

How sad it is to see that Waylon must sit down. Guess this was just before they took his leg off... I hate that his late days were full of pain and sorrow.
