Yes, the honking, backing up, and following of this white Hyundai Azera are definitely steps in the right direction. But there was an opportunity at around 13:00 for this Waymo to pull alongside the Azera, roll down its window, and offer a few choice comments to the Azera driver. So, I'd say it's not quite there yet. Also, how about Waymos commenting on conspicuous surrounding drivers and pedestrians, regard "what their problems are"? And, for extreme situations, how about mounting a mechanical bird above the steering wheel? These last few steps could really move us beyond the polite law-abiding driving of Waymo's past and on to the aggressive legally dubious driving of Waymo's future. That's where it's all going, right?
