It’s sad that our worship music is such that you can’t clearly see the difference. Worship is for God and should be about God. Love songs are about your feelings and are for you. They should be expressly different. I am sad that there aren’t more individuals who see the problem with this.

Agreed! Biblical, God-centered music based on praise and an understanding of the Gospel is worship. Self-centered songs about your personal relationship with God, or your struggle believing, can be fine, but it's not worship - it's just a song about someone's spiritual experience. There's a BIG difference between the two.

Not necessarily, I do agree that there are a number of Christian artists who don't mention Jesus that much but just because a sentence taken (out of context) from a song is hard to know isn't a reflection on the entire song or the artist.

Worship needs to be distinguished by theology and praising God for who He is, it should have very little in common with love songs. This video disturbed me how these songs by Christian artists are considered worship. They can be sung, but I would not call them worship. Light the fire again is a classic worship one and probably the closest of the picks to be considered theologically sound, it’s based on a Psalm. Anywho praying for revival, the “worship” music of today is weak and God is not.

It should never be that you can't tell if it is a worship or a love song. It says volumes about the sad worldly state of so called Christian music. Contemporary artists need to either develop a deeper relationship with God or leave Christian music and sing music that is closer to their hearts......secular.
