actually freestyle stands for “free of style”which is actually random lyrics thrown together which would also have some off the dome stuff due to having to connect random punchlines and the fact in must cases as it doesnt have any particular flow/style hence the.name freestyle. In modern time the term freestyle has been missed used. This is what you would call off the dome/off the top however you can also say off the top freestyle since words are through at the rapper, in this case questions/topics. An off the top freestyle is similar to a freestyle expect the majority of the time you are formulating punchlines etc that are (free of style) in your head and theres multiple ways people go at doing that but the key to both ways, especially off the top, is knowing how to tell stories etc.
