In 1985, Wayne, Butkus, and Hub Arkush did the Bears games on radio. It was simulcast and I listened to them with the TV sound off. It was great.

Some of the best memories of the Bears were listening to Wayne Larrivee doing the play by play. I used to pickup Green Bay football on the radio but now their on a different station & can't pick it up. Not that Joniak & Thayer are not fun to listen to if I need to work in the garage on Sunday but its not the same. In my area AM 1000 not the greatest reception either. Not a fsn of GM Poles boasting we will take the North & never give it back without 1st achieving a Division title. Those GM training wheels are falling off. Still have to deal with a meddling George McCaskey making football decisions when he was in charge of the ticket office. Didn't learn a thing about football from his grand father George Halas & until he is removed from football decisions like the Ford family did in Detoit the Bears will continue to be the dumbest NFC North team in leadership !

Caleb is not accurate, he holds the ball too long, he doesn't see the open man, he turns every play into a broken play. Other that that he is pretty good.

I would agree that he needs to learn hero ball don't work in the NFL. And he has missed open recievers. He's also had recievers stopping there routes when Caleb tried to hit them in stride. He is a rookie. He's made rookie mistakes. He'll get better

That's partially accurate, but if you're going to point all this stuff out, you have to also point out that he's running for his life inside of two seconds most of the time with this offensive line, when they are not jumping off sides or nullifying positive plays with penalties, the offense is not well designed, and the surprising number of balls that have been dropped when they hit guys in the hands or chest.

The defense had skewed numbers last year and Aton of hype. Were they good? Yes. Against better than good QB’s? Hell no. Maholmes and Herbert showed how bad they really are or how not as good as they think they are, truths. Sure they had a long streak keeping teams under 20 points, but then the offense shows up and can’t score 20 points. Basically the defense didn’t give up a lot of pointa or big g plays to mediocre offense to bottom of the league QB’s. And everyone hyped them up without considering that. I’ll give them credit for the first run of the gauntlet of the North. Every game was close and winnable. But they proved its all a mirage.
