Saw him for the first time when I was 17 in 1964. Just came in that cold night from riding my horse. I heard him sing and I fell in love with him and his voice. Told my mother I was going to give him a kiss on his cheek and a big hug. I am 73 now and have never got to do it. Hope and Pray to see him in Las Vegas this year and fulfill my wish. Love his singing still. What an entertainer!!!! Have not seen a show in person since 1994 last time in Owensboro KENTUCKY.

I told Wayne my parents saw him at the town casino nite club in buffalo ny, he said ' I opened for Jane Mansfield there", what a memory

He really was talented -- as a youth I would of said hell no but now older and out of my old hood self I see him for the great talent he was.

One of the first 45 rpm records my parents puchased as new immigrants to the USA from the Netherlands. There simply aren't any songs today that elicit the same dignity and emotion as songs and performances like this. Bravo Mr. Newton.

Anyone giving this the thumbs down must be a complete ass, because there js nothing to fault. Even if the song choice may not appeal to everyone, this performer executes all songs with 100 percent precision. Wayne's high class performance might get on the nerve of some losers who can't bear to see a talented 22 year old raking in the money and acclaim to fame, whilst sounding humble and passionate and so true to the style of this musical era. Indeed, these are not my fav songs, but I too would be an ass, if I didn't give credit where full credit is due.
