I'm an asian teen and I already have those unbearably hooded eyes and it sucks when you like the appeal of some winged eyeliner but can't do it, and having completely unequal eyes makes it suck even more :

@@worstusernameintheworld9871 i have extremely hooded eyes and my eyes are noticeably different sizes so I feel your pain! This technique is truly so amazing ive been using it for years and even with the unevenness of my eyes, this technique helps them to look a little more even. Also the best thing to do is sit around and just experiment with liner, play around with shapes and whatnot, eventually you'll find something that will make that unevenness look far less noticeable n.n

Take a small brush...like the one he used to tightline. Spray some setting spray on a clean surface. Dip the brush into a shade like teal or dark purple. Work the colour into the setting spray until it becones liquidy and diluted. Draw a straight line up from the outer corner of eye. make a small triangle to join upper lash line about centre of eye. Paint it is diluted colour so it is not too harsh. Let it dry. Take a lighter neutral(I like mauve) dry eyeshadow and blend in an arc ABOVE THE NATURAL CREASE and inti the triangle of darker shadow. Blend it out gently. Finish with a small dab of shimmer right in centre of lid(I like shiny light pink shadow). You can use a bit of highlighter in the inner corner. If you like to line below eye...use the same as the first colour. Again dip and mix in setting spray and join to the first upward line at corner of eye. Final result is a cat eye look which does not close off the eye, and is less harsh at the outer corner. It lifts the eye, and wirks amazing on hooded eyes... even downturned hooded eyes.

Loved this tutorial! I have impaired vision in one eye, so getting my liner to match up is a huge struggle for me. This technique takes time but is much more practical for someone like me. Thank you!

Great video again Wayne! TY As a guy, I have been doing just the upper waterline with a dark brown gel pencil and it is game changing! It looks totally natural and my eyes pop like no one business.

You leave those “horrible, pitiful lashes” alone, sir. You’re a gem of a man with lovely lashes! Lol

First time I've ever seen him or tried his techniques and, wow! I LOVE dark eye liner and this technique totally changed my life! I used to have to reapply every fifteen minutes to keep this total coverage effect on the lashes, now I can go all day! Thank you! He also has an amazing tutorial on eyeshadow for hooded eyes that not only made my eyes brighter but stopped the shadow that used to fall and stain my cheeks everyday.

I’ve seen many makeup tutorials over the years and he is my favorite! Hands down plus he’s also funny

I just can't believe how polite and informative your videos are.. Please do make eyelashes do and don't for hooded eyes

I've done the waterline and find it more flattering for my eyes, especially now that I'm older. I'm going to try it your way now. Thank you.

Not great with contact lenses. I wish I could tolerate liner in the eye/ water line

You and me both! Been wanting to practice my cat eye and haven’t touched my makeup yet. Ha!

I have really been practicing, because it’s the first time in a long while that I have plenty of time to do so, no rushing to get out the door for anything. And, if I mess up, instead of being stressed about it, it’s just a learning experience.

So happy to see this comment liked by Wayne and others! I have to say I’ve been subscribed to Wayne for years and have religiously watched every video but I always shy from commenting. However, today I’m glad I did!

GingerJeanie that’s exactly how I feel hence why I want to practice. Especially anything and everything related to eye make up because that’s my favourite feature on my face. And I want to get better at techniques suited for my hooded eyes. However, I am so ridiculously lazy, that I have yet to practice anything haha

Hello Wayne, I have been around make up (and make up artists) all my life - modelling, TV etc. Your tutorials are the best by far. I never write comments, but I thought you should know. You aim perfection with good technics. I am over 50 and I have to find new ways to do my make up! Thank you.

My eyes watered just watching... Lol I've had bell's palsy on both sides of my face now and makeup has become extremely difficult. Would like to see a video on great tips for ppl who have this issue! Love your channel!
@MzMcC734 жыл бұрын
Yes! I suffered Bells Palsy too, on right side only, so I can do a killer wing on my left eye but my right eye is nearly impossible to mirror since the hood is so much more pronounced.

I'm getting married next week. I'm over 40. I'm doing my own makeup and just started binge watching your tutorials. Thank you so much for this, Wayne. Not sure if this is a feather for your male ego hat but I'm sure that there is a fan base of middle-aged women our there (probably called 'the hooded sisters' or so) who are forever grateful to you for giving solid advice and techniques. Thank you!
