Really looking forward to the series of videos on this build. I myself have always used older pinball cabs for my Vpin builds, including one I'm working in now (Atari widebody) but always wanted to build a professional Williams widebody, so this is perfect. I remember when I started, we didn't have any of the tech we have today and things were a lot harder. Mad respect to guys like Arnoz and Cleveland Software for the innovation to make the process simpler for not only experienced builders, but to newcomers and a mad propz to The Way of the Wrench for the top notch vídeos. Much appreciated sir from another Canadian Vpiner.

@wayofthewrench17 күн бұрын
@@timloftus1590 I believe a 50" is too wide but a 48" OLED might fit with some modifications. I'm doing this one because it's more of a way to put a kit together and the monitor drops in and leaves room for led strips. When I upgrade my budget totan vpin, I'll put in a 48". Thanks for the watch!

the information on the 'low latency' inputs is misleading and partially wrong. The device wait time for KL25Z can be configured in the configuration tool. The default is 8.33ms. But you can set it as low as you want. However - the latency is defined by the Windows driver, which has a non-configurable HID polling rate of 8 - 10ms! Anything below that will not benefit from being faster. So while technically, the Dude's Cab has a low latency be default, it is in no way better than a KL25Z (neither at the default of 8.33ms, nor any lower setting). Please don't tell people the Dude's Cab is specifically 'good' because of the low latency.
@wayofthewrench6 күн бұрын
So here is some info straight from Arnoz dev team. There are many way to improve input lag, with high polling hid driver or other gist.github.com/rstewa/579e6003aed35572cdecfcc888ceefd6 and other thing, 8.33ms is for input only using a KL25, if you add DOF work, it's not so efficiency because KL have single CPU, where Dude's cab is Bi CPU, one for INPUT only, the other for DOF and other things like LED report and other... Hope that helps. Thanks for the watch!
@csorrows9 күн бұрын
18:20 Clipping does not come from not matching your speakers to your amp bro. Clipping is when the input signal is so hot that the amp cannot produce enough power and "clips" off the top of the frequency wave. Clipping is the cause of most damaged speakers because it holds the cone in place during the clip which causes excess heat. There is misinformation around not matching your speakers to your amplifier causing them to blow. The real cause is people turning the gain up too high trying to get more power. This causes the speaker killing clipping. It has nothing to do with the speakers being matched power wise to the amplifier or not.
@wayofthewrench9 күн бұрын
Bro.... everything you just said is correct. " The amp cannot produce enough power and clips off the top of the frequency wave". Yes it can be caused by cranking the volume too high. If you match RMS output levels between the amp and sub you have a good starting point. You can also have a more powerful amp but you can't have an under powered amp ( just like you said). Thanks for the watch and welcome to the channel! Cheers!

Helping people get excited about virtual pinball, helping people build their own vpin cabinet, and in this video specifically, helping people learn about the current vpin parts that the community is using. All of these parts are being used in the virtual pinball cabinets that people in the vpin community are using. Are some of the parts sponsored? Yes but they are for my personal use and I'm not selling any parts or vpins so I'm not sure how you think this is bad. You can't build a vpin without these parts, it's just a list of parts with a brief explanation of what they do. It is still a hobby, I'm just helping people who are getting started in this very cool but confusing/ difficult hobby. Thanks for the watch!
