What, no COFFEE ?! My friend, is that it ? That's a good "Greyman/Get home starter pack". From what you showed, you can wear some of that stuff in addition to EDC on your belt/other places. Med kit should definitely be in an outside pocket or worn. I really like your videos, so fun, so cool. As a former U.S. ARMY AIRBORNE PARATROOPER (still am til death) and a III(3)%er Patriot, my mentor (U.S. ARMY RANGER, multi-tour Vietnam combat Vet) said to always pack for a solo mission (scout, recon, trail blazer, ambush bait 😆). In a soldier's words, 1* (one ass to risk). Get in, get it done and adios señorita. Bugging out is get ready, get going and adios MFs. But only if needed after bugging in. My urban/ wilderness pack is ready to go in a moment's notice. Packed lite for soldier's mission (Ranger burrito, local map, clothing, "TOOLS", etc.) but also with 7 days food (2 a day) like home prep MREs, powdered milk, protein shake powder, multi vitamins, COFFEE, important documents, etc. I live in a small "city" in deep south Texas and believe me, the border is a complete DISASTER, FKN CHAOS. Gov. Abbott, U.S. Border Patrol, local law enforcement and citizens (GOD Bless them all) are doing all they can. A law abiding citizens no permit required open/concealed firearms carry was recently passed. Dead bodies of all ages, rapes of all ages. The FLOOD of killer drugs, criminals of all types, terrorists. The hundreds of thousands of unknown illegal aliens coming in, healthy or diseased. This is insane ! LETS GO BRANDON ! Everyone here is prepped or getting prepped in one way or another. When I'm going Greyman (already am), I have my A.L.I.C.E. ready to go inside of a roller/ extending handle suitcase and another bag with my "other good stuff " to get out without bringing attention to my military background while looking like an average shmo but pistol ready. Contents will be readily deployed when needed or in the sticks. Pretty cool 😎, huh ? In my small prepped apartment, I'll be (stand your ground) Greyman unless forced out or go tactical for whatever reason. Finding a new urban shelter or getting out of town, I'll be (escape and evasion) Greyman unless I'm forced to go tactical. I will help people when possible. But when I'm in the wild (urban/ wilderness), it's fangs out, time to go primal. Archangel Michael (Patron Saint of U.S. ARMY AIRBORNE) and I will survive to defend my country and help others to survive. It's the duty and privilege of being a true AMERICAN. Prep with a mission in mind. Prep to survive. Prep to succeed. GOD helps those who help (prep) themselves. Just remember, it worked for Noah.

Almost everyone misses one component that’s highly important which is a kit for addressing blisters. In a bug out situation almost everyone will be walking, and feet really take a pounding when you’re not used to it. Every bug out kit should include extra items for foot care. Thank you very much for your videos, they are always most helpful!

Great video I have most of those items myself. One suggestion on your sunglasses you might wrap them up in glasses cleaning cloth before you put them in your bag. I had a pair of those very same glasses and even though you put them in the bag that plastic rubs on them and will mess up your lenses. And it has an ugly spot and basically they don't work as good. Maybe even not be able to see out of one side. So what I learned to do was wrap them in a cleaning rag and then put it in there. Those cleaning rags aren't that big but will easily go across both lenses. I don't have to worry about it anymore when I turn 42 years old I needed to start wearing glasses probably from all my years in construction being around welding. So now I have to carry an extra pair of regular glasses usually my old ones but I do the same thing always protect your lenses they don't do any good if they are all scratched up or have rub spots on them.

Hello, Mr. Bender; I enjoyed this, "Thank You!". I wish you had made a list of everything in your bag. I have a 'go bag' but I've never spent much time camping. I think that is because when I was young we made do w/ what we had. So I'm not experienced w/ real camping/'survival' gear. I have a 'suggested' items list but it's from people that don't have your level of expertise. Have a GREAT day, Neighbor! PS Be careful on your trip, the world is not as it was.

You should have a 3 liter water bladder in your pack ! You might not be able to get to a water source every so often to keep your body hydrated ! Also a snake bite kit and insect repellent would be nice to have. Also thermal blankets and a thermal reflective tarp that's silver on one side and colored on the other like a light green or brown or even better a camouflaged side to put over your tent /hide away area so not to be detected from above !!!

I think the pack is amazing! I'd switch a few things out though, I'd have the first aid kit with the poncho, the Weapons i'd have a chest rig easier to get to and out of the backpack waist band way, a kabar type knife with the chest rig or on the shoulder strap to get to faster something 3-4 inches easier to get to. And Definitely something for blisters, I'd probably get a fold out solar panel charger too something with a little more kick to it. it's kinda small like that one you have but it folds out and has a little bit more to it and you can hook it to your backpack and unfold it and charge it at the same time your walking. Great Video, I seen your hobo kit which i though was really cool too! :)

Outstanding bug out bag My grandson’s picked up some great ideas from the video they told me to ask have you got trick candles in your fire kit? Prayers up for safe travels
@WayPointSurvival2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much. I don't have any trick candles in this fire kit. I do have them in others though.

That depends on if you're trying to go in the woods or not. Thanks for watching!

In my opinion … A person planning on wearing a backpack should first learn how to actually wear one properly with a majority of the weight on the hips and not the shoulders. What part a chest strap plays and why it’s important to have one. How to properly adjust all the straps. Etc.
@WayPointSurvival2 жыл бұрын
It wasn't adjusted to carry. I was just demonstrating the pack.

@@WayPointSurvival … Not pointing fingers. So many people don’t have a clue that I was merely bringing it to light. That’s something I would have approached you privately about anyway. I agree that the pack should look as non-tactical as possible. I’m even a bit more biased as to color(s). LOL

Thats a nice looking bug out bag. I am impressed with how you have got it all inside. You cant get nutrient survival in the UK which is a shame becvause those small pouches of food are such a great idea.

Hello James! I grew up in s. Ohio and love your videos. I am currently watching the tv series Alone and was wondering if I might ever see you on that show? I would definitely be routing for you!

Thanks so much! I don't know if I would ever go on a show like that or not. However I always appreciate the support!

Great setup. Since you carry a water filter I assume you either expect rain or to be near a water source. Have a great bugout-day

Indeed. It pays to know your area and what you will encounter on the way.

I would have added a roll or half roll of toilet paper. - Or something in that realm of thinking. You never know when you might need it.

It's in there and I did mention it specifically in the video.

Now, what exactly are you bugging out from? Are you walking the 70 miles to your bugout location? If you're driving, then the pack is your bailout bag (for when you're car runs out of gas or breaks down). What's the terrain like along the way? I didn't see hiking boots/shoes. Personal protection? What's that, a pistol? Not going to do you much good inside the pack. What about navigation? Maps, compass, GPS, etc.? What about communications? If you're so scared of where you are that you're running away, do you really feel that the phone system will remain intact? And what if it is the Government that you're running from? They'll, if they are not already, be monitoring the phone system and find you. Of course, your "bugout location" has stores to live off when you get there, so this is only your travel backpack? Why bring so much? If you have to "bugout" then you have to move fast and stealthily to evade whomever you're running from. And is 70 miles really far enough?

Thank you 👍. What kind of striker was that for your ferro rod?
@Paul-up3pb2 жыл бұрын
Found it ….. It’s a Speedy Sharp knife sharpener. (I think …)
@fookingsog2 жыл бұрын
Don't need a "striker" for a ferrocerium rod!!! Just the back/spine of the Morakniv will suffice as you scrape the rod and not strike!!!😁👍🏻
@WayPointSurvival2 жыл бұрын
You are correct. It also serves as a knife sharpener and bark scraper for fire starting.
