That line gets me every time because, though the context of the song suggests Carlos hearing his mother's voice in his head is a positive influence, the broader context (if the books are canon to the films) implies that Cruella's voice in Carlos's head would be yelling at him to take care of her furs, instilling a fear of dogs, telling him never to ask for an actual bed ever again, and generally loving her furs instead of her son. So like... it's actually really messed up and I feel so bad for him. And Abby Ham, I might ask Super Carlin Brothers too. I love their videos and I think it would be awesome if they made a Descendants-related video!
