I tried an interesting experiment, a couple of days ago: I went out wearing a red jumper, with a red maxi satin skirt, red ballet flats, and carried a red bag! I couldn't believe how energised and confident I felt, and I can't wait to step out all in red again. It's a colour that really lifts my spirits, and makes me feel very visible!

Thank you for another great video. I've recently bought a pair of red, wide-legged jogging pants from M&S and they are fabulous! I'm styling them with a white shirt and a blue and white knitted vest. We have 'dress-down Friday' at work and I think it would even be perfect for that. I think I'll be wearing it on repeat for the rest of the season!

I got a great red leather bag for $3 at a thrift store. I could see why it was donated, it was difficult to open because it had a weird zippered center divider. A pair of scissors fixed that, now I love it.

Not sure I love the red sweater and green skirt together for the reason you said- it just screams Christmas. But I think that same pleated skirt in navy would be gorgeous with a red sweater! I’m curious if you consider the pleated skirt a trend? Do you like them? I absolutely love them and own two, one in navy and one in burgundy. I’m 29 weeks pregnant but they still look great 😊.

I was trying out different outfits for Christmas candlelight service at church and as a joke I put on my red jeans, red sweater and a red blazer and I was astonished at how much I liked the look. I love red, especially with grey. I'm not a huge fan of only red and black together, I have no idea why? However Gemma, your example of the red top, black trousers with the camel coat was gorgeous, I will have to try this look when winter arrives. Love , love , love red - my everyday handbag is red, as are my shoes! I think the only thing I don’t own in red is a pair of trousers. Probably being a brunette with dark eyes makes it easier for me to wear - I hate pink looks awful on me so that’s a combination I won’t be trying, mainly because I don’t own anything pink😂. Here I am 67, and never once thought of putting red and gray together, because red reminded of Christmas. Of course, that’s not the only reason I didn’t wear it. The few times I wore red, always received compliments, but never could see the color hue in my complexion. I can wear blood red, but not Christmas red. May try again as long as the color isn’t against my skin, i.e., blouse or shirt.

Red and green just look christmasy. Red and pink or red and orange great in the summer. Red and brown look good. The red, black and camel looks nice . Dark red (burgundy ) looks nice with jeans. I don't like red on myself. Don't like red with purple.

You're using 'expensive' in the wrong context. You could buy a camel coat, a red blouse and black jeans from Primark or a charity shop for well under a £100 then look classy and put together - expensive - wearing it. Equally you could spend an absolute fortune on designer trackies and look a wreck. 'Expensive' isn't only monetary value and I know which I'd rather look.

The trouble with green and red together is it can look a bit like a Christmas elf but it can work 😀 there’s a lovely picture of Princess of Wales wearing green and red together and she looks great in it.
