Sorry for the late response on my end...I agree with that, except for San Clemente's. What they had was a better idea than the rest of the US.

@@TrainsNStuffIt would be better if they replaced the original sound to the K5LA Harford Line Wayside Horns.
@TrainsNStuff Жыл бұрын
@@xaviercerda3841 not really. It would be better to just have that be either a straight quiet zone or horn zone. Wayside horns are pointless. I can hear those ones from almost a mile away on a good day.

I don't care for the wayside horn much, but I did enjoy riding WES when I was in PDX back in 2013. It would be interesting if they extended the service that they've got, but I don't know if the will is there.
@TrainsNStuff4 жыл бұрын
I have to agree with you on that one. I love riding the WES. Not really fond of the wayside horns but it is what it is.

I live down the road from here in the southern part of Tualatin, at the bottom of a pretty good sized hill. The tracks run on the complete other side of hill, and I can hear them blasting the horn at like 10 at night. And if I’m not mistaken, in this area they aren’t supposed to use their horn that late

How is this any better? They’re timed so poorly that they just keep blowing arbitrarily, instead of the federally required four times, the last to be held into the crossing. Not two, not eleven, four. That’s a good lawsuit, suing the city because the horn was not sounded per FRA regulations, from the railcar or the wayside.
