I agree with you on nearly everything you said. We only differ in the one area. I definitely have the "killer instinct" but have no problem telling someone they threw good darts when they did, in fact, throw good darts.

Edgar Wright and Wayne Mardle give coaching lessons, plus loads of people offer advice i think the main thing is to help someone with the basics and build on it. No doubt my throw, stance and positioning could need improving and other areas which need to be seen when throwing darts. Plus keep up the good work and vids 👍

Thanks for the words Anthony, much appreciated. This is the bit for me its about advice and offering guidance i think more than like in football where we coach with stop standstill etc

Good video, good and interesting topic. Who makes the best coaches? At what point do you think a player is ready to become a coach?

I think here we have to break it down a little as a payer who is 65 years old who has played since he was 18 has vast experience in the game and might have played in the original BDO perhaps but all he can offer is knowledge of the game and his own experiences so I would take his words on board for sure. However, someone who has perhaps a sports psychology degree can also coach the game but might have never played drats to any level but knows the workings of the game, and understands the nature of how we can approach a sport from a psy side. Edgar did a great video using the FA's 4 corner module which i thought was fantastic idea and one i spoke with a UEFA coach about and he agreed that a 4 corner principle can be used in the game of darts.
