This attan is basically performed by MAHSUD BATTALION, FOUNDED BY MAJ.MIR BADSHAH MAHSUD. He was the founder as well as the FIRST commandant of MAHSUD BATTALION. My grandfather.

Just to make it clear, this is a Masood (or Masid as pronounced locally) attan from Waziristan. Waziristan is made of two kooms both brothers, the Wazir and the Masid. There is a minor dialect difference other than that they are the same people and have a long and proud history from battling the british in the defence of Afghanistan and to various other ventures in the history of Pashtuns.

There are too may dilects of pashtu langauge , some mehsud live in north afghanistan they call them mehsud , and northern pashtun belt(pakistan kpk , and konar laghman etc of afghanistan) have differet dilect of pashtu , but all pashtu are same !
