I once heard you guys mention that if Wendell's face was not on the thumbnail/video no one would watch, I'm here to do my part, I owe it to Ryan. Thanks for being so open during the drunk stream, knowing that our viewpoint on life are so different, actually makes it easier to understand "who" you are. I recently also deployed wazuh on the VMs in my homelab in the context of Security Onion. The version is a bit old, but the integration with other tools such as Fleet / osquery, surcicata, etc is pretty neat as a "all in one" solution. Might be worth a look. Only issue I had was that both osquery and wazuh in their respective versions from Security Onion weren't available for Arch Linux, but that was easy enough to fix with a basic PKGBUILD. The up-to-date version of wazuh is also broken for Arch (there's a bug report on their GitHub, so that wasn't an option either)

When you add hosts to SecOnion via Wazuh, where should the Wazuh ingested data show up? In Elasticsearch, and then interacted with using Kibana, right?

@@ReturnJJ Yeah, you can check the alerts etc in Kibana. There's a pre-set module filter for it or you can filter manually for "event.module:ossec" (since wazuh is a fork of ossec)

Also if you are not rich or you wanna do some things on prem i recommend taking a look at Turnkey Linux, they have a lot of image for very different use case scenario from nginx to fileserver ready to go in seconds.
