As per salary CGL=WBCS In WBCS you can get upto 70,000 in-hand salary which I think is enough anywhere in West Bengal having additional facilities like Govt. Vehicle, Bungalow, guards, phone bills and etc(applicable for Gr A and Gr B). On the other hand if you are getting a 4600 GP job in CGL and being posted in Delhi or Maharashtra or in an A listed city, 70,000 won’t be enough to run a family. In addition to that except for a post or two, you win’t get other govt. facilities

My preferences were Saturday sunday holiday Family time Not much job pressure Gossips with friends after office hours A handsome salary . . Hence i choose ssc cgl... Congratulations brother I am also coming next year in cgl in income tax... This year it's bad luck for me... As I got 165 in pre in cgl 2019 but my West Bengal sub inspector mains and cgl tier 3 are coinciding on 22nd November... So i decided to give wbsi mains this year and cgl next year..

Question level of CGL is way harder than that of wbcs and CGL is way more competitive. Moreover wbcs is not transparent at all we all know about Prashanta Mondal right?

Those who have got a job through CGL including me know that CGL jobs are nowhere close to Civil Service/WBCS except salary. Civil service is civil service in terms of pride, respect, power and work diversity. It's only new aspirants who are shouting CGL is better than WBCS to keep their motivation high. Join CGL jobs then you'll understand which is better.

Sir, I'm also a CGL aspirants because of some job you only get through CGL like (CBI,NIA) and these are most versatile job ..... WBCS or CGL it's depends on your aim,what you want to achieve mostly ...depends on man to man preferences....in that case I think CGL is better option for me.....(don't get biased..it's my personal opinion)..

Ar WBCS theke IAS hole Special Secretary or Special Commissioner porjonto howa jay with 10 years seniority jegulo IAS er o retirement level er post. So half jene comment na korai valo.

Very well articulated. However,being here, feel a few points need to be corrected sir. 1. Promotion: iti to ito it was 3 years and ito to irs 12 years. Now promotion scenario is the worst in wb. 2. Respect: after restructing by honble pm getting respect and recognition is a distant dream. 3. Salary: that is one of the main reasons i dint write wbsc despite getting no job satisfaction after restructuring. Salary difference is huge and if you have emi burden wbcs salary will seem to be low . If you want recognition go for wbcs. If you want salary cgl is betr. Ps. Cgl 13 iti kolkata cgl 14: preventive officer chennai My view: if salary were equal i would anyday prefer wbps to any cgl posts.

📌Ssc cgl vs wbcs exe .. Both are better in different aspects.. So in conclusion we can not give any of these the better tag👍 Wb home posting through cgl in 4600gp can give better lifestyle money promotion. And wbcs can give better recognition amoung people but political influence...competition in ssc cgl is more tough.. Both of the posts get social respect.. And power.. Not every wbcs officers name comes in newspaper.. On the otherside if you join CBI ED may be someday you can arrest a high ranked officer or minister😉 .. And see your name also in newspaper.. So its relativity.. Depends on your desires dimension.. Both of the posts are great 😊 Now its upon you what to choose... 😊👍

I want to add some valuable points I) WBCS is far better than any CGL post, because WB state service still have fixed pension system while central govt opted for new pension scheme which is totally depends on share market. If u calculated pension in current scenario...the amount for pension is horrible in central government. ii) the prestige and power of a SDO or DSP/SDPO is non comparable with even with income tax commissioner. iii) maximum post of wbcs group A/B got official car for 24 hours while in In income tax below rank of commissioners is not possible. iv) only salary is better in CGL..that too because of late implementation of pay commission in state government that may not be in future. Central provides the best medical scheme..whch is nt in wbcs...bdo of wb dnt even get proper treatment for corona and dies....centrak gvs child education allwnce ;ltc and plethora of perks..and salary of wbcs wll alwys b less thn central due to late cmmsn..and jst wait fr nxt yr da release ..it wll surpass 30% for sure..even central increases hra aftr da goes above 25%.central gratuity is nw 20 lkh..state is 12 lakh...see the dffrnce...🤣😂..if some 1 retires aftr 30 yrs nw...tht tym central wll gv 1.6-2 cr...minimum gratuity..state wll gv max 80lkh-1 cr....see the dffrnce...state has 0 perks infrnt of central....and nps is not hrrble.....in 35 yrs of career ..one inspctr can generate..15-20 cr lum sum.
