isnt even close to the most broken, though its up there, considering yak-3 only really started appearing in LATE '44 - early 1945 on the front so its historical adversaries were D model 190's, Ta 152's, late G-Series/K-Series 109's, Me 262's and such.... Look at F89B with the 6x20mm at 7.0 - its even got afterburners. Or Su-11. Or F86A at 8.0, it just wipes the floor with anything lower or on equal BR with it. I swear the way gaijin decides these BRs is about as effective as marking tiles in a birdcage and assigning BRs by where the Bird shits on.

Dear @WeBeStronk, you spend a lot of time playing the most broken or most OP planes. Why don’t you change it up a bit and play one of the most awful excuses for a warplane it has ever been my displeasure to fly, the Dewoitine D.520. I have recently been grinding some low tier French planes and I need someone to confirm my misery. This plane is slow, turns like a bus, the armament is near non-existent. It’s mediocre to awful in many ways in comparison to BF-109s and most other planes at 3.0 BR. It would be a real challenge if you could manage to get an Ace with it in at least one match.

Not sure how good the Yak’s performance really was in WWII, although most sources say it was an amazing climber, but my biggest issue with the Yak’s is how their 20mm cannons one tap 100% of the time despite having less explosive mass than most other nations in game. They also have incredible resistant to any form of damage. Their neutral fuel balancing system is almost guaranteed to put out fires, and your 20mm’s magically spark off half the time.

The Seafire LF Mk III is based on Spitfire Mk V model but fitted with the Merlin 55M with a four bladed propeller and obviously being converted for carrier operations.

As you mentioned in game 6, Tracers is the best choice for the 20mm belt. FI-T shells contain more HE filler than HEF shells (6.36g vs 5.8g TNT equivalent) and the Tracers belt doesn't use anything else.

I started playing these after your vid, just to see, and you know what I realized? The Russian planes are basically using the Arcade flight models in RB. I was doing some crazy flying in the Tu-2S that should not have been possible. Got as many kills as the P-59 on our team. Which is nuts!

I completely despise Yak-3´s, especially the Yak-3u. 9:00 I love how a P-51H is diving at you from 2km above, goes vertical, you make a 180 degree loop and somehow still end up with more energy than him and with guns on target before he even finishes the maneuver. I hear Yak3 engine, I gtfo. The only planes I managed to deal with them reliably are the American premium Spitfire and Ta-152H. They are broken AF. P-51H already feels OP at 6.3 and these Yaks are better than it! They should be 6.3-6.7 unironically.

"Slightly" Man, bearcat is 1.5 times heavier, besides Yak-3 having way less drag. Also, AFAIK fastest climbing ww2 prop was tempest mk.5

@@Янус_Ырт still f8f has a 10 times smaller takeoff run and climbs to the same altitude in half the time a yak-3 does while having a higher service altitude Fully loaded, tempest beats f8f because of its huge fuel load but minimum fuel with only 50 cals f8f has an impressive 32m/s climb rate which no piston prop could achieve

@@ozan1234561 also any source on "half the time to same alt"? Which alt? Yak-3 are best suited to fly under 4KMs, so they climb faster near the ground, up to 4 KMs. I am sure F8F will get to 10KMs faster, but low alt performance is different

The 3U is 5.7 because while it destroys every prop, it reeeeally struggles with early jets. It also has lackluster guns with low ammo, so it struggles versus bombers too

Yeah I agree completely, the tech tree one at 4.3 is very strong too (tho it does not have WEP like the VK-107) yet I can name some props that it can loose the dogfight to off the top of my head (J2M2, VL Pyorremyrsky, A7M, Most LF Spits - these are all planes you need to engange with carefully or with an energy advantage or you will more than likely loose). It also compresses above like 550 and rips at around 650 kmh. The Yak-3U on the other hand... there is no excuse for that, its just busted

I've been playing WT since it was World of Planes, and it's always been like this. Russian planes turn like they're on rails, climb like rockets, retain energy like laser beams, obliterate everything they hit. Their ingame performance is actually better than the posted ingame stats. The developers have given them performance far better than their historical performance, and there are all kinds of hidden modifiers in the game code.

I found that I really hate the yak. I fly the p51 for instance and the only enemies I get are the russian and japanese planes. Then I pick the spitfire and get to fight american and german planes. Its like gajin just hates people that do not play the russian tree

Pilots liked them. They were small planes with powerful engines but their drawbacks really aren't reflected in game since to my knowledge gaijin uses the "official" (propaganderised) stats for the soviet planes.

They were maneuverable and powerful but only at lower altitudes, they saw good success mainly because the Luftwaffe was focusing majority of its fighters on the western front meaning the yak3 had easier skies in 1944, the bf109 and fw190 were better planes because of their superior climb rate but the soviets always had more aircraft

Bf109 pilots were told to not fight yak3s down low because they held nearly every advantage over them down there. If you bring a yak3 in game above 4k, not the vk107 but just the normal yak 3, u can win against it in a dogfight even in a p51d30...
