As a very new dbd league viewer, who watched some of the grand finals of the past few seasons within this last week or so, Otz and his partner definitely seems to be an improvement in terms of providing insights. However they are a downgrade in terms of proper casting, because often times they introduce an idea then completely drop it and never pick it up again. For example: in one of the Nurse games, a survivor was dropping and picking up their flashlight and Otz was about to explain that there's a reason for it, but then completely drops it and never finishes the thought. This happens numerous times. Additionally the two kind of get in the way of each other's casting a bit more often than ideal. I get that Otz is not a professional caster of course, just offering feedback in case it may be useful. Great watch! ❤

Why do they still allow Nurse in these things? A top-tier nurse is agonizingly boring to go against (and to watch people go against). The survivors are essentially forced to trundle along and cower for the entire match because they're going against a killer who completely ignores the entire chase system.

i really enjoy otz and hens (especially together) doing commentary, i just think its a bit unfair that they get the finale. you know you have all these commentators commentating often, everyone wants the finale and you just give it to 2 content creators that otherwise never commentate :D im not mad, but i prob would be if i was a caster myself.

@@2841guilherme They were the best two teams of those years though I believe Eternal is the best of all time. The only reason Elysium became the number one for a short while was because Zaka left Eternal and moved to Elysium after which Eternal disbanded. Elysium has never been able to top Eternal at full power, and now since the boys are back, Elysium will fade away like its prior iterations (SNG, etc...).

Otz' commentary soured this for me NGL, he was cutting off Hens a lot and kept asking questions for the newer people watching, which just got grating after a while for me Insane plays and teamwork from Elysium though, always a pleasure to watch great teamwork at play

Flashlight saves happen occasionally, but it's usually something that happens out of circumstance instead of something planned ahead of time, since it's usually a better idea to just have the flashlight user on a gen somewhere. Sabotage is totally banned: Toolboxes are never allowed, and Saboteur is general banned.

@@Classicv5 Remember that things don't just get banned because they're overpowered. Sabo isn't (to a certain level) OP, but it can lead to massive benefits for the survivors seemingly at random. It's too inconsistent. Some other leagues do allow toolboxes, but they're usually much more reserved, and most teams end up using them for repair anyways. But DBDL takes a no-BS approach.

@@Classicv5 sabo was banned from the most important tourneys 2 years ago cause it is in fact broken when given to a good team that can call dying locations, it can turn a good start for the killer into a first hook at 1 gen left (happened multiple times in the past)

If you pressure the gens after a hook, one person has to get the rescue and you’re chasing one offa gen so that leaves only one survivor on generator. The unhooked survivor might reset with sloppy butcher and by that time you might have another hook. Yes, the survivor comes means they can pre-leave gens and stealth, but that only goes so far. I think getting a win isn’t crazy. Maybe not a 4k, but a win.
