So much to unpack here! First of all, this is an absolute must-watch, I have no idea why it doesn't have a star. A near 2-hour slugfest between Sok and Happy...it doesn't get better than that. We have Happy using the fucking CL first in all games, and Sok with his canon shenanigans actually winning games! The mana buff on the impale really works wonders. Now CL has a stronger early game since he can more often punish opponents with that impale, and that late game lv3 impale absolutely decimates ground armies if supply is even. People saying Happy is boring should just shut up, he's demonstrated time and time again he can always alter his strategies. That CL shines in his hands.

I some times am hard on Happy, but the reality is that he's a truly great player and deserves all the accolades that he gets. SoK is really good too, but IMO he is not at Happy's level. I think that only Lyn playing his best is truly a rival for Happy skill-wise. Yes, Lyn and Happy are the only 2 genuine S-tier players left in the game with Moon's decline and Infi's retirement in 2020. What is incredible about this series is that SoK is not even the best Human and this is not even his best matchup(his best MU is Vs Orc), and yet he came an inch of beating Happy. What the recent serieswith Human show is the overwhelming power of Human economic scaling. I am old enough(44) to remember why Human got a hard nerf to it's ability to expand when TFT came out in 2003 and why peasants were made to be the squishiest thing in the game: it's because in ROC, Human was unstoppable. They would in 6 or 7 minutes mass knights with polymorph, or just straight gryphs and win. Human *needs* to have a supreme weakness to their economy to balance the fact that Human economic scalling is so insane. Human tier 3 is not even a Straight Flush, but more like the proverbial Five of a Kind of WC3. Human T3 hits you with the power of a thermonuclear blast. To make matters worse, if Human hits T3, there is an 80% chance that they have expansion as well. The game Vs Human was designed so that you must either have a good tier 1 game Vs them or a great tier 2 game to win. Because of Human scalling, the game design is such that is becomes harder and harder to beat Human as game advances. It's not necessarily "balance", it's just the way that the game was designed by the brains of Blizzard circa 2003. To balance it, Blizzard gave Human a supreme economic weakness in peasants, and the slowest army in the game in movement and tech trees. If Human gets T3 and they have expansion, it is exceptionally difficult to win because Human was designed to have the most balanced, compete and overhwhelming T3 army in the game. Human is the true RTS race of WC3. At T3 with expo, it has the strength of an SC2 race, and you can't beat an SC2 army with WC3 units. Undead still has a chance to beat Human T3 because at least UD has possesion and destroyers to counter knighrs and gryphs, but only if the player is *truly* exceptional(like Happy is). Let's make it clear: there isn't a single UD player in the history of this game that could have won this series right here besides Happy. But Elf and especially Orc have no chance Vs Human T3 with expansion. This is not "balance whining" but just a fact. If you don't believe me, ask yourself this: what can an Orc on one base do Vs an 80 food Human army of knights + gryphons with Inner Fire? Nothing. *N.o.t.h.i.n.g* .It's just a straight up fact. And don't even reply that Orc should counter expand, because Human harrass at tier 2 and caster pressure makes it impossible for Orc to counter expo. And I am not even saying that the matchup is unwinnable; all I'm saying is that Orcs have an 8 minute window to win, and must play a very aggressive and effective game of economic pressure on the Human. What makes it really difficult is that AM + MK with footmen at early tier 2 makes it very, very difficuit to harrass the Human economy while having a base left. Maybe the Korean Gosu can think of somehting. It's crazy that Lyn and Happy, the 2 strongest players of the Reforged Era, and the only 2 players to have ever reached 2,750 MMR or hgiher, are both completely dumbfounded and stumped by the overwhelming strength of Human T3 and the ease with which Human can expand now,, and what to do about this. I am blown away by what Happy did here. What we saw here was one of the top #3 greatest players ever pushing his skills to the absolute limit and exhausting all his trcisk to win against a top #10 player in the World in a matchup that, quite frankly, is very one-sided in favor of Human after the first 8 minutes. I repeat: any other Undead player in the history of the game would have lost this series 0-3. Watch this man while you can. Poor Happy was completely broken and exhausted by the end of the series.

Oh man. Some gryphons in game 3 would have done wonders, especially with inner fire. It feels like Sok had some time to transition and make at least 2-4 of them. Normally when you do rifles, you should expect aboms counter, thus you should prepare for gryphs counter. Gyro bombs would have been good as well to attack the statues at least

SPOILERS Sok could have had this series with three easy moves in the last game. Build a lumbermill, go Clap and retrain to Blizzard. He has to blame himself for the loss of the last map. The feeding of Waterelementals was just stupid.

@@horderob2025 120 was in group c. 2-0 vs starbuck , 2-0 vs dise (WB group stage ) did not dropped in lower bracket . Lyn was in group a . 2-1 vs kaho , 0-2 vs sok, dropped to lower bracket 1-2 vs kaho. About forty you are right I don’t know why i remember him losing. 120 3-0 fly too And him losing to happy in second Wb quarter finals doesn’t mean ud is weak .. ud mirrors doesn’t count towards race strength , just so you know. In this tournament 120 was in 2 wb so far :) ud is getting buffed to the point that for last 4 years if you combine earnings most earning top 1 player is ud and second is also ud :) For real you honestly think ud is weak at this point and needs ghouls buff? Why they thought ud needed hot fix buff to ghouls?
