I hope Franken runs for office again; we really need him...

100%, but honestly? I feel at this point, he'd rather not deal with the drama, and all the mea culpas from the same senators, and feckless congresspeople in his own party, who were more than ready to throw him under the bus, and for _primarily accusations coming from _*_suspicious conservative sources_*_ at that,_ truly felt too little, too late. It will follow him around, regardless and what's heartbreaking is, he wears it both on his face and in his heart, the way that he speaks. Being completely let down by your "friends" (or people you thought were them), has the tendency to do that, and the psychological impact is _profound_ from so-called "cancelings": One study showed an incredibly marked increase in the risk of suicide, for example, and to feel awful enough - day in and day out - to override perhaps the strongest base instinct of all (survival) tells you everything you need to know about how much "cancel culture" hurts people.

Innocent people don't need to obstruct. Sp remember that when trump brags that he was able to cover it up.

Heck? "He took more than three minutes." What a buffoon! Did you mean, give them hell, princess (of what nation). You're right up there with this buffoon.

I love the bewilderment and outrage GOPers have when their own words/actions burn themselves. “How could the democrats do this to me!”

His question clearly said "in the course of the campaign". His work in the Senate is "not in the course of the campaign."

Al Franken resigned in disgrace - as he should have.
@alishaygan9844 Жыл бұрын
No. BS he resigned in the hysteria of the MeToo movement and under the hysterical rankings of Kirsten Gillibrand. And even the bee itch regrets it now. So that you are as ignorant as you are, well that’s no longer astounding in America.
@arlenelovell3187 Жыл бұрын
I am sorry but I don't think he should have resigned in hindsight. If Donald Trump can run for president and was found civily guilty of sexual while Marjorie Taylor Green continues to serve in congress after many disgusting things she has said, then Al Franklin can run for the senate again. The bar to run and hold congress is very low now.

@@arlenelovell3187 The difference is, Al Franken actually DID those things.
@arlenelovell3187 Жыл бұрын
@@j.warburton5269 So Trump never was found guilty of sexually abusing Jean Carroll and Marjorie Taylor Green never made the racist, and bigoted comments? Lets not have selective outrage.
@j.warburton5269 Жыл бұрын
@@arlenelovell3187 Trump was not convicted of rape or sexual assault, ever, and there is no evidence he ever did those things, but Al Franken was caught on photo, sexually assaulting a woman. Let's not have selective brain usage lol
