Charlotte firefighter hurt after large overnight house fire

A Charlotte firefighter was rushed to the hospital after a large overnight house fire in a Blakeney neighborhood, the Charlotte Fire Department said.
Firefighters responded to the massive blaze in the home's garage just before 2 a.m. Tuesday along Ledger Court, which is near Community House Road and Ardrey Kell Road in south Charlotte.
One firefighter was severely hurt after being trapped when the ceiling collapsed during the response and was rushed to an area hospital, officials said. The firefighter is expected to be OK.
