People keep saying this deck is bad, and its really getting to me as I just traded for a playset of Veidos. I really love the theme of the deck and its artwork, and seeing this video gave me the reassurance to go finish building it. Appreciate you bro keep looking for new paths in this deck!

I love the art and theme of the deck. But i bought it and it is shipping. And i bought it with melodious. Because its nice. With full comb melodious you get 1600 apollousa and a fusion and you get to your hand gield spell and veidos. So you can go full ashened combo with it. And i play it on dueling/list nexus? Idk the right name . And it never really bricked. You can go most of the time full combo and its really nice. Even if you only have halve melodious combo you can go im 2400 apo and most times in ashened. So i really like the deck. But i hope it arrived in time so i can go to my locals. But good video👍🏻

this is something that initially stood out as a good way to build this deck. I've been doing the rounds looking at profiles and any results. It really feels like emperor was designed to be played in Ashened and I think the burn cupled with a card like mourner is a really good idea. I think this list is going to be a perfect jumping off point for me to get creative with it. I think one of the best side deck options I havent seen anyone mention for this deck is Lava Golem. You'll rarely need your normal summon anyways. Extrav is another one im curious to try. I think you make a good point that it really could be better ash bait and its nmot like you need much in the extra deck with this build

really nice, i had the same thoughts like you and i made exactly the same deck but with 2 rimfire so you get 1 more pyro in banish and you get the boss.

Thanks for the decklist man, really like the burning effects on those 2 volcanic cards. It's a way better board than just ending with two bodies on the field. How do you fiel about the Gaia/armament package? Do you think the monster negate plus the veidos recovery is worth it?

There are alot of good points made. Extravagence im not so sure about. I feel you dont play bonfire because of the price. It makes the deck so much more consistent. I was testing with volcanic soldier but its true you only need kaiser. I will test with spirits as the normal summon and i want to test an invoked version. Your version i consider pure as kaiser is just a tech in the deck. I feel between Spirit/invoked/pure will lie the best version. Although im not so sure about the mixed versions yet.

what gave you the impression that he isnt playing bonfire because of the price? he specifically explains it in the beginning, saying that youd normally search priestess with it, but you already have many ways to priestess so bonfire is redundant. jesse kotton also said in his ashened video he doesnt think bonfire is that good forthe same reason

If you look at the best openers and the importance of priestess, veidos and obsidim and the fact the deck is best played at 40 for max consistency into either awakening or any combination of the 2 card combo shows me how important it is. I wouldnt say you need 3 and thats where you can argue for alternatives etc. In the pure version where you have non engine space i can see the benefits of stuff like extravagance. In the end i dont think bonfire is that redundant because you can also search your other lvl 4s that can extend into xyz plays and other utility plays if you dont need priestess.

@@Corey91666 the general consensus on ashened now is that spearhead is not good because it is not a quick effect. That means that your bonfire targets are priestess or shaman, except shaman isn't live turn 1 - so the only body you'd want besides priestess is to make banshee (which is not a given). So you either swap spearhead for a second shaman or you replace it with non engine The other problem is that prosperity is strictly better than bonfire in this deck because the bonfire targets are so limited. You can't play desires because there are too many one ofs. The extrav here works because his ED is basically useless, but this doesn't apply the moment you have a single important card like SP you want to access. If you haven't seen Jesse's video Def watch that - the amount of non engine space needed (according to him) makes bonfire maybe a one of given the redundancy

@@MightyTreeFrog i saw the video. As i said i dont think 3 is really benefitting. Prosperity is good although i dislike the anti synergy with obsidim. I guess bonfire gets much better when you run a small volcanic engine. Anyways, bonfire isnt accessible and yes its targets are limited, which makes prosperity better. I would run a one off bonfire anyways. Ashened can brick with mostly relying on 2 card combos and this consistency issue makes bonfire valuable to me. The deck simply dies on the spot at times. Obviously digging 6 cards deep shows how prosperity can save it.
