Thank you so much! I know some people like doing "table top" reviews, and that does give people a good look at a knife, but I prefer to discuss the fit, the feel and the function. I try to put a decent amount of time in getting to know a knife before filming. I really enjoy working with different knives and that makes the process fun for me. Thank you again for your kind words and support!

Thanks Matt, a very good demonstration of the knife and and some of the survival intentions of the design. Even after a year of using this knife I still find new and inventive ways the design helps and eases the task a woodsman or survivalist would use this knife for. It is the most versatile knife I have ever used. Again, thank you for taking the time to demonstrate and share your thoughts on the knife and my work. I have added this video to the WCSK playlist on my channel for those who wish to see the WCSK in action for many other task and other people's perspectives.

Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this William. It was an honor to have the opportunity to work with the knife and as I stated in the video, I was pleasantly surprised at just how versatile this design is and what it is capable of doing with a little practice. I don't think any video can completely convey that as there is just no substitute for using it hands on. I am sure this knife will be around for a long time to come as more people become familiar with it. Take care sir and keep up the great work.

Ive been interested in this knife just for our go bags, but I cant justify the cost of his knives, and I also did not like the handle at all. I know that he swears by it, but it wasnt for me. I bought one of his master woodsman a year to so back, and sold it on ebay about one month later. As far as cost, dont get me wrong, he has to make a living and I understand that, but its a competitive market when guys like LT Wright can produce fantastic knives for substantially less. I can appreciate his hustle though, and glad that he is doing well

I can hone it up to hair popping sharp with a simple ceramic rod. Because the grind is a single angle from the tip to the base of the blade, honing and sharpening is much easier than it appears. That was my initial thoughts as well, but after handling and working with the knife, I was surprised at just how easy it really was to touch up.

While quite a nice and somewhat useful product, the purchase price (including leather sheath: around $700 AUD) puts it well out of my price range!

Not sure how you added this up but way off. knife is less than $300.00 and sheath around $100.00 depending on what style you want.

OK, my bad I assume that is Australian dollars. Not sure what the conversion rate is.
@steveross27975 жыл бұрын
William Collins No worries, price is worked with exchange rate on price of knife, leather sheath, GST (our tax on overseas purchases @ 10%) plus a ballpark figure for freight. Such is the strength of the US dollar! (BTW, come on down for a holiday! 😀)

@@gwailotus9154 Gransfors Bruk is the maker. They are Scandinavian style axes but for bushcraft and carving type work, they are fantastic. I own in order of smallest to largest, the Wildlife Hatchet, the Small Forest Axe and the Scandinavian Forest Axe. My most used is probably the Wildlife Hatchet and the most versatile would probably be the Small Forest Axe. I hope this helps :)

@@blackhatbushcraft - do u think the Gransfors price is really worth it? a lot more than most other brands
@blackhatbushcraft3 жыл бұрын
@@gwailotus9154 I would look around to find the best price. Often times I see them over-priced. I honestly do enjoy mine enough to warrant the cost but I found mine in a store and never paid more than about 130 for any of them. Another good option is Council Tool Woodcraft Axes, however, they are a good bit different in design. It really comes down to personal preference.
