WCT4 World Championship was held back in 2019 and was a MASSIVE level up in the sport from the action and athleticism to us bringing on Dan Dawson our legendary commentator who brought a whole new level of professionalism and excitement to the spot!
WCT4 World Championship brought 8 teams from around the world to compete to see who is truly the best team in the world.

From an editing perspective, the constant camera cuts (like 4 every 10 seconds) is really disorienting compared to how this event was originally filmed and how events are filmed now.

This screams BBC ski sunday. I dont know why they do it. I remember a mate doing a media degree at uni and this is how they taught them. Its like the editor did year 1 at uni and thought now I know it all. I prefer less of the fluff, but I guess this is how they need to mive it forward to pitch it for TV. If this gets to main stream TV like Gladiators then well done gang. I just like the low key approaxh

To add to it, cutting out chases without explanation was additionally disorienting as a fan who watched back in the day. I'm sure an uniformed casual watcher isn't bothered and still interested, but imagine they cut down other sports like that without any word, just the score and time left changing...

Quite a historic game at the start, Marrero Gang losing against GNF even though they played almost perfectly. Sadly the team more or less disintegrated by now it seems. I haven't seen much of them anymore. That's a bit sad given how they pioneered and dominated the early years of WCT. They are like the Lakers of chase tag!

They need to change the rules or structure to make the tournament longer. I love the excitement and speed but the matches/tournament are short. I think a longer format could draw more audience and viewers for this sport. One change I want to see is tie break. For the tiebreak, I would like to give it a few extra rounds like 4 rounds to see if the scores changes before the time-limit tie breaker kicks in.

This episode was 4 years ago. The newer formats are much better. The competition has advanced so much. There are more teams now, so the tournaments are longer. Check out the channel to see the newer competitions. They're incredible.
