Is the bag included in the tuition?
@thescrubslife5 ай бұрын
When I was there it was included with our tuition. I'm not sure how it is nowadays, but I hope it is!

Hi there, I start nursing core in April at WCU Los Angeles campus. Are these books and clinical bag covered in your tuition or did you have to pay out of pocket for them?
@thescrubslife2 жыл бұрын
Hello, for me this was covered by my financial aid so I did not have to pay out of pocket for these. If im not mistaken, they should be part of the tuition still.

I'll be at the Los Angeles campus for Fall 2022. How do you like the school so far? I am so afraid because I don't to fail especially with how expensive this school is.

@oliviapeters6932 hi I’ll be attending the same school at the same time frame too starting fresh. Looking forward to seeing you.

I’m starting on April 2023 in the LA campus. I’m so nervous as I have to do pre req first before diving in the nursing core. Can I know about the pre reqs and how long it will take. My first time going to a university.
@thescrubslife Жыл бұрын
You got this! The length of time would depend tbh. If you take all the pre reqs with WCU, you could be looking at least 2 semesters roughly (don't quote me on that timeframe tho haha, your academic advisor would have the exact answer to that). For me, I had some pre reqs done from my previous degree so I only had to do 2 terms worth of pre reqs (about 5.5 months). I wish you the best of luck on this journey!

What do you work as going into an accelerated program? I applied to wcu and work as a prn tech but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to work at all
@thescrubslife2 жыл бұрын
Currently I am working a full-time night shift position retail. Reason being was I must have some type of job in my current situation, the place I work at understands that I am a student and allows for flexibility and the pay is not bad. Honestly, if working is not a must, I would not recommend doing so while in this program. However, if your time management skills are on point and study skills are solid, anything is possible. Been going at it for quite a bit now and I'm happy with my results so far. I hope that helps!

Can you tell me what to expect on Virtual ATI modules ?
@thescrubslife2 жыл бұрын
ATI has plenty of different modules. Some are just gonna be a series of practice questions from the current term you are in. There are also virtual scenarios available that will test your ability to do a physical assessment. Also, there are case study videos where you'll answer questions about what is going on, etc. Lots to see!

What do you recommend studying for patho
@thescrubslife2 жыл бұрын
Tbh it's been a minute since I last took patho, however the one study tool I recommend is always the practice questions your professor provides. Gives you a feel of what kind of questions to expect. They're not always the same on quizzes and tests, but at least you know what type of questions will be asked. Doing practice questions from the book also helped me as well as going off the Powerpoints for that class
