WDA700T - West Midlands Travel Daimler Fleetline

WDA700T was the last Daimler Fleetline to operate for West Midlands Travel / WMPTE. It has been restored to its former glory in as withdrawn condition and is seen in these views running from Wythall Transport Museum up to the Maypole and back on 7th August 2021.

It’s the gearbox that whines not the engine not as badly as a metrobus

Lovely bus. If I left early to school in Coventry I believe the "early bus" was one of these. I remember the semi-automatic gears and the staircase starting right behind the driver. I believe it had red seats and light blue trim. The "normal" later bus was a Metrobus I think. They should have restored the ticked machine too!

Memories: 50 service bull ring to maypole, 107 service Bull ring to Sutton Coldfield, Number 7 Bull ring Perry common, 11 outer circle 8 , inner circle. Great times !

Leyland Fleetline 7000 and 6940 was My First Choice Of Buses On Model as I Brought A Depot For Them More Arrived Today In the Post 6311 6315 6321 6325 6916 still waiting for 6912 6466 6965 6986 6537 6431 6432 6433 There Say Theses Models Light Up with A Battery well Ive Tried That Nothing Happens As A Fleetline Fan Is why I Brought Them Including This One But Had To Glue the Bonnet Back On 7000 For Some Reason It was Lose In the Box

The handbrake was terrible on the Fleetline buses foot brakes was ok

Why position your camera to give a view outside your bus? Any bus on that route could be set up to give the outside view. Would it be too much to give the interior view of the bus?

Probably as other people are sat in the seats. It’s purely on where you could sit at the time, plus sitting further forwards there is no ‘chatter’ picked up from peoples conversations
