Time and again I revisit this serial, my favorite amongst all. YATRA BY SHYAM BENEGAL. The great legend. This serial was telecast in the year 1986, those years were really wonderful and so also the TV serials of that time were really very nice as compared to the junk produced today. One must watch others serials of that time especially NUKKAD, KATHASAGAR, DARPAN,AIR HOSTESS, MR. YOGI, YEH JO HAI ZINDAGI, IDHAR UDHAR, MALGUDI DAYS, BHARAT EK KHOJ, CHUNAUTI, SUBAH, AND OTHERS ETC.

@@Morelovepurelove I did a quick Google. 1986 me pehla episode dikhaya gya DD pe aur kul 15 parts bta rahe hn. KZbin par baaki k dekhne parenge. Search mene bhi NH kia abhi Tak wese. Yehi episodes dekh leta hun har kuch hafton baad. Bohot pasand aate hn ❤️

Seems like the yatra serial never reached to its final station. I watched it 3 times in last 11 years knowing there will no 13, 14 & 15th episode. Too sad yatra serial remained mistery.

@@madhulika_1 Yes there is 13, 14 and 15 but it was probably not available to upload. Too sad. Doordarshan should release them on DVD so atleast people can buy the entire series. I have Mirza Ghalib and Tipu Sultan, complete series. There are so many others I would love to buy. Mr Yogi is one of my favourite serial. Wish I could go back in 1980's.

It appears the original poster Shashanka aka wpd4 could not upload episode 12 (last few minutes), 13,14,15 as "unfortunately, the last few tapes got spoilt and couldn't be digitised" So does anybody else has them or can Doordarshan release an official version as they have many serials of that period.

Those days were different. The serial would have only 13 episodes. I dont think this serial went beyond this.. I had seen all the episodes then. It was only 2000s that endless serials started

Yatra was actually two series of 13 episodes. In the first one Nk. Gopalan Nair goes from Kanyakumari to Jammu Tawi to join his unit. In the second series Nk. Gopalan's unit is in Rajasthan area where he is put on courier duty to take some things to Assam border. This episode is from that series.
