I saw Nektar at the Roundhouse in London in '74 (I think) headlining with support from Dr Feelgood and The Sleaze Band. They totally blew me away! I've been listening to Journey To The Centre Of The Eye and A Tab In The Ocean ever since. Excellent music for flying my spaceship.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer and Yes only dreamed of making an album as musically strong and consistent as "Remember The Future". Buy the studio album. It's great! "Recycled" and "Tab In The Ocean" are also exceptional.

I saw these guys at the Guthrie theater in mlps. MN and I was blown away, I was 21 now I'm in my 60s and I still love them, it's sad toe that nektar has kept the name after Albright died. Without him, there is no nektar,

I was fortunate enough to see them in St Louis in 75', (I think), at the Ambassador Theatre. They made a personal appearance at a record store in Northwest Plaza in St Ann, Mo that me, my best friend and 3 girls stayed up all night to meet them. I remember they were extremely kind, saw them at Kiel too the following year...I think

ja super!!! Von den "alten" Recken mal wieder was zu sehen bzw. zu hören. Musik aus meiner Jugendzeit. Damals in den 70-igern in Darmstadt, in der Otto-Bernd-Halle (gibt es ja nicht mehr). Wohnten auch nicht weit weg von mir. Im Stettbachtal in Jugenheim an der Bergstraße hatten die lange gelebt. Unvergessliche Zeit

Um einiges besser, als die vielen Neo-Prog Bands die wie Pilze aus dem Boden sprießen und meist mit allerlei neumodischen Soundgesprenksel ihren Sound zerstören. Meines Erachtens waren eh die 90er die letzte wirklich große Musikepoche. Es gab wirklich noch Neues, aber das ist eine andere Geschichte. Der Live Auftritt jedenfalls ist (ehrlich gesagt doch etwas überraschend) echt großartig! Die Musiker beherrschen ihre Instrumente, der Gesang ist sehr angenehm, nicht so überdreht, und die Qualität der Songs bzw.die Songauswahl überzeugen ebenso. Schade, dass Rockpalast daraus keine CD/DVD gemacht hat, wie beispielsweise vom letzten Radio Moscow Auftritt. Kommt ja vielleicht noch. Ich würd sie jedenfalls kaufen ;) Schöne Grüße aus Ulm

Dem ist eigentlich nichts hinzuzufügen! NEKTAR traten in ihren Anfangszeiten unter anderem recht oft in meiner Heimatstadt Bonn auf. Unvergessen sind für mich die Auftritte im legendären Underground in Bad Godesberg-Muffendorf, den es auch schon lange nicht mehr gibt (und dessen damaliger Inhaber "Juppi" Josef Schäfer leider auch verstorben ist ...). Aber es waren irgendwie andere Zeiten ... Aber die Musik ist zeitlos ergreifend schön ...

Saw Nektar twice last year right before Covid knocked out live music. Howden and Dembo (bass player) were there along with original bassist Mo Moore and original lighting man Mick Brockett. Great shows. I’m bummed I never got to see Roye though.

I grad. high school in '73 (I'm 67 in '21 for reference now) in Arizona, and with all the millions of concerts I saw from that point on....never had the opportunity to see this unbelievable band. If they come anywhere near Tucson while I'm still breathing air I'm going.....fer sure fer sure. This music transports me STRAIGHT back to the early 70's. What a ride it's been. I give all the glory to the Good Lord for this. Live, Love and keep Learning and being strong but gentle. God Bless us all. jbeinarizona

I had contact with Roye for some years on facebook... I knew him from the munich band "Snowball" with their very unique record "Defroster". Roye Albrightons guitar work, vocals and Kristian Schultzes keyboards made that record sound extremely warm despite the perfect modern drumming. Dont miss it!

I have filmed them some years ago in Frankfurt/Germany. that lineup been: Roye Albrighton: Vocals+Guitar, his son Che on Drums, Tom Fry: Bass and Klaus Henatsch of Jane on the Keys. was an awesome concert. unfortunately Roye passed away short time after that. RIP Roye - you were outstanding :-(

Look what I'm finally watching. !!! Recording has nice bass texture to sound, unlike the pounding music gets on television distracting attention from verbal content most likely. Really, the sound on this is so much better than most everything on the Internet.

Like so many , I discovered Nektar with the Remember the Future LP . After A Tab In the Ocean , I sort of lost track of them . A post-2000 live set was a great way to catch-up with the lads. Anyone else remember the rumor they from Germany ? RIP Roye .

O vocalista na música We're Off You Know lembra o Paul e em alguns momentos da música California Jam, lembra o John. algumas músicas tem uma pegada meio final dos Beatles, preste atenção depois! rs

To call the part beginning at 27:08 "inspired" by Pink Floyd's 'Embryo' (especially the BBC live versions PF played in '70 and '71) is probably an understatement. Not hating on Nektar in any way, but that is too similar in tone and chordal structure to be coincidental.

Remember The Future é o meu álbum favorito da banda britânica Nektar ! Assisti ao show do Nektar no Canecão com abertura de Kiko Loureiro, creio que em 2005 . Considero o som deles bem World Music , com muita diversificada qualidade sonora . É uma pena eles serem em pleno ano de 2021 ainda desconhecidos nessa m ... de país que endeusa Anitta , Pablo Vittar , Ludmilla , MC Carol , Ivete Sangalo , Daniela Mercury , Luan Santana , Raça Negra , entre outras pragas sonoras !
