@@RustyApper after listening to more of Noel’s solo stuff I’ve kinda put them on parr with each other. Obviously they both write about different scenarios. But Alex Turner is shit hot. Noel is a legend. I’ve loved oasis from the get go so I’d never diss him. But there are a lot of great songwriters about now. I’m so chuffed for the 2025 tour. Bonehead playing alongside Noel too. Fair play. I wish I wasn’t disabled. I’d have tried to get a ticket.

I'm really happy Oasis are back together. But I really enjoy Noel Gallagher's HFB discography. IMO, he had a better run after the band split up. Noel really gives us what he can do that Oasis probably can't do.

Its interesting how Liam's voice completely changed since 90s and Noel sounds almost the same

The only difference with Noel, is he grew more confident over time. Go all the way back to the early days of the band, one of the B-sides of Supersonic, "Take Me Away" and Noel sounds almost apologetic. Then in the years that followed, he grew more into the role of vocalist, on record and on stage. With High Flying Birds, he seemed to have settled into a Paul Weller-esque singer/songwriter thing that he seemed destined to whenever Oasis called it a day. Of course things have changed now Oasis are back, but we don't know if it's just for a tour or if it's more permanent. In the case of the latter, I think it'll be like Blur's reunions - Liam and Noel can both do their thing separately, then once in a while come back together as Oasis, best of both worlds, really.
