Interview with the original Dreamfinder from Journey Into Imagination at Epcot in Walt Disney World

We truly need the original ride back to its full glory. As someone who heads to Epcot quite often, it's amazing how there used to always be some form of a line for Journey into Imagination, and now I can walk on it any time I want.

most of what Epcot is now doesn't bother me. I don't mind that Test Track replaced World of Motion, or even that Horizons is now Mission: Space but I do miss the Dreamfinder.

I kinda agree. My only regret about Test Track is that one, I can't handle the speed and two, I saw a video of World of Motion and REALLY wanted to see it in person... :,( I miss Dreamfinder the most though and I haven't even "met" him.

I think if they kept the original journey and horizons and kept them up to date, they would remain incredibly popular and nobody would be bitching about the state of Epcot 🤣

I can remember back when Lou first had his kids and the DWT forums.. those were wild times.. Me and Grumpy kept him on his toes! Long live Dreamfinder and Figment!

I think one day the dream finder will return, I'm sure that a new imagination works is on the table now.. you could use the imagination to use a lot of the technology especially VRs..

I LOVE Figment. I have a small Figment, a medium Figment I call Midment, an 18 inch Figment I call Bigment and the squishy sleeping Figment on Shop Disney.

I miss this ride. I miss Dreamfinder. He’s my favorite tbh. I actually kinda named myself (I’m trans) Alexander Blarion haha! Dreamfinder and figment are so important to me, they give me hope and keep me going. I hope the ride will be returned to its original glory one day.

Ethan Kauffman walk around character. Though he recorded the last couple lines for the ride when Chuck McCann wasn’t available to record.

@@onesparkonedream2065 Yes, he voiced the lines" Skyrockets soar towards outer space. Imagine yourself in an infinite place". He was also the Dreamfinder on the camera crane at the end saying good bye and watch your step.

He sadly passed away back in 2018 from a heart failure however the current VA of Figment (currently it’s Dave Goelz but he had two others based on Wikipedia but I assume they either passed away or retired) is still acting and seems to be doing well!

I know it's been 4 years lol but doesn't that come from the old ImageWorks video about the Color Palette? Figment's coloring Dreamfinder and he gives him a green beard.
