The roster was ass, one of it's biggest faults. We did not need Chandelure, Suicine, Pikachu Libre, and Braixen. They were trying too hard to be unorthodox with their roster. I get just choosing fighting types would be boring but an inanimate object and a dog made for awful fighters. As for Braixen, honestly all of the fighters should've been fully evolved. Including Pikachu, I mean this wasn't targeted for the standard/general Pokémon audience so it wasn't gonna kill them to not feature Pikachu as a fighter.

Honestly, pokken is really fun to play as a casual. I remember that I completed all of the story mode in one week during the free full trial on switch and I really enjoy that journey along side Blaziken 😊.

Fun fact, Suicune, and the rest of the legendary "dogs" were actually all based on felines! Raikou is obvious considering the saber teeth, Entei is based on a lion, and Suicune is based on various jungle cats like leopards and panthers!

Back in me days I was a Chandelure main, and I knew how to do the Hex combo, yes fellows there's Hex in the Chandelure movekit Which no one seem to talk about, so the main thing with him is that he applies 2 debuffs His forward A in the side phase apply Defense Debuff His fireballs in both phases apply attack debuff After you give the enemy 2 debuffs, in the side phase You can hold back+A (Maybe there was a corner circle backwards in there) and it will do a grab, that's Hex, and just like in the game it does a lot of damage if they are debuffed, and does some damage if not. Man that was such a cool detail, I loved playing with my favorite Mon.

I think this game was single-handedly the reason why i started walking the path of the all-rounder. The way Lucario felt back then was the first time in a fighting game where someone really clicked with me, and he still feels good to this day. Maybe one day we'll get a new game... Oh by the way: Everyone has armor against light attacks when burst is active. That's why 16:48 happened

I know it's not quite a sequel, but there's another Pokemon fighting game called Pokemon Close Combat which is only fighting type Pokemon and it's very fun and I highly recommend it. Sometime next month they're adding two more characters too.
