I got to stay at Pippin Inn run by Ushka...it was so freaking amazing. If you ever get a chance to stay there, all the cat details were adorable and really made my stay memorable in Japan :D She was the kindest host as well. I got to meet her two kitties Pippin and Pixel. If you see it, snatch it up. There's a reason she's a super host :) Fridge was also stocked with snacks!!

Thanks for this one! As a flipper based in Europe These kind of videos are really cool to help get an idea about the issues in other places, and about possiblity of grants to renovate specific areas. I'm so glad you all talked about the termites. My husband wants a property in Japan so bad but after watching all you go through your journeys I told him we'd have to be on the ground in Japan. I don't speak Japanese, so he'd have to be more hands on for project management and that's hard because he still works full-time although it is fully remote. I speak decent Spanish and now basic Italian and have dedicated teams I can communicate with myself when it comes to remodels in Spain and Italy because I was able to be around the projects. But having to go through a translator fully for a project is a no for me. He's sad because he didn't think termites were that big of an issue in Japan. Now after living in concrete homes and apartments I refuse to do wooden structures so we will check out places when we are there in a couple weeks for the 2NE1 welcome back concert. You guys were awesome.❤

Yes minpanku law. Arashiyama is very strict and doesn’t allow short terms like Airbnb

We’ve stayed in probably 20 airbnbs all over Japan and a thin futon can ruin it all. The thickest futon and actual pillows make the best night! (And if you give those tiny bean pillows at least give me 2😅)

I also run an airbnb here in Okinawa but I feel like having a lower limit for guests can be a good thing. I do leave some futons in the closet with extra linens foir kids though!
