I want to see that what is like to be Mac Pettit. Do I POV video where you wake up. Wash your face and grab the keys. Go for a drive. Order food. Put gas in. Talk to people and get their reactions. Everything POV.

Thanks man! The rear wing video has been a bit tricky, but almost done!

Looks good but the splitter rods are supposed to tie into the bumper bar or frame to hold it rigid during high downforce situations. May want to look into doing that instead.
@macpettit23274 жыл бұрын
The bumper bar is completely foam; would have to drill into the crash bar; which isn’t feasible, so the best option is to the plastic on the bumper and braced with large washers to keep it from pulling through on the track In theory I agree with what you wrote but in design it’s limited to how I have it mounted 👍

I didn't think the ZL1 1LE front end could look any meaner. Great pairing!

How did your splitter do on the track? I can't imagine it added enough downforce to balance out the huge wing in the rear.
@IR-xy3ij3 жыл бұрын
It didn't, in his track videos the splitter was flapping around because it was not mounted to the chassis
@willc50234 жыл бұрын
where do the rods mount into the bumper? thinkign about getting it but wondering how durable it is without chassis mount
@macpettit23274 жыл бұрын
There are mounted thru the plastic with washers as a backing so it doesn’t pull thru; taking it out on track next month, we shall see
@ct_actual10213 жыл бұрын
@@macpettit2327 hey I know by now you tested it. My concern would be the connection points where the rods connect to the bumper. Doesn’t seem like a structural point to anchor to. How was it on the track. Trying to install mine now. Let me know your thoughts. CT
@macpettit23273 жыл бұрын
@@ct_actual1021 The mounting points actually held up on track, but cracked under pressure entering a driveway, Mounting to the crash bar (I believe) would require longer rods then what are provided. Also as a note; on track I have pictures of both the left and the right sides of the splitter bending away from the car, obviously not good, to fix it I would recommend chassis mounting the front two, & bolting a support brace underneath
@ct_actual10213 жыл бұрын
@@macpettit2327 also where did attach the fender “carpet pieces” to. Does that just lay on the carbon fiber? I have a ZL1 so may be a bit different.
