We Almost Broke Up OUR STORY

That's so wholesome. I'm at my girlfriend 8 years ago and she broke up with me 1 month ago. I was getting ready to propose this year, we lived 18 hours apart, talked every single day almost, moved to Washington to be 4 hours away, but between that, anxiety, depression and, come to learn ADHD a few weeks ago, I made some dumb choices and pushed her away. She too suffers from the above, and we're both disabled, but my life without her is so lonely despite living with my best friend, his awesome wife and family. But her and I went from talking every day, to me pushing her away for 2 months, in a long distance relationship, and she felt like while she was trying to solve a two-person problem solo, while I felt like I was pushing her away to keep her at arm's length and not make it worse. We talked a week ago and it was like old times, laughing our butts off, making jokes no one else would get, crying together and more. Dunno if anyone will see this, but I wanna win her back. Not something you particularly plan on doing, so I'm lost as all get out, but should I? I feel like she's my soulmate. She started as a friend in Final Fantasy XIV, became a girlfriend, a best friend and then more... And I genuinely felt lucky to be in love with my best friend, despite all our faults.

Sometimes as much as it seems as though youre suited you may very well not be. A partner needs to be someone who can help lift you up whilst you help them. Growing together and learning one another. If you both have too many things going on then how can you be there for one another? You also each need to learn to be alone in no ones company. Maybe have a conversation with her and ask her for all her thoughts and you can apologise and admit as you go along

My husband and I met online too, we had 397.1 miles between us. We spent 10 months doing long distance then he moved From Glasgow in Scotland to the Shetland Islands to be with me. I do understand where y’all are coming from. I met my girlfriend during Christmas while I was home, saw her for two and a half weeks and decided I wanted her in my life. I am currently, overseas and sometimes I can’t call my girlfriend, some days we go without contact for weeks. It’s difficult for sure, especially not being home for a year.
