I could cry right now. Thank you so much for speaking so openly in this video. I’ve been subscribed to you for a while but never properly watched until recently. These days I’m feeling like all the influencers I watch are obsessed with maintaining this image of a ‘perfect’ life - and you saying that you don’t care if people think you have a perfect life or not is honestly SO REFRESHING to watch and much needed right now. The funny thing is, people like to portray that they don’t care what others think whilst still maintaining this facade of a perfect life. When really and truly, this honest and open attitude when talking about real life is something we can all respect so much❤❤ well done to you

Thank you both. . I have it. I was diagnosed a long time ago but resisted meds until I saw my young daughter do a complete 180 with them in elementary school. Medication if you have it, is everything.Like putting on glasses for the first time. You can make sense of life and see clearly. I appreciate you shedding light on it, so glad you both are great and in an amazing space. :) So many super talented people I know have ADHD.

Hearing you both talk about this so openly just brings tears to my eyes because same. I was finally diagnosed with ADHD after 30 plus years of struggle and copying technics, which changed and failed, to be given medication and someone to talk too and omg it’s changed everything for me and my fiancé. It explains all my issues, frustrations and overall sense of person and to have him understand and see and work together just, we can breathe again. I love your videos, insta, TikTok, everything so much and you seem like such a lovely person inside and out, Alex too!

I’m sorry to hear that, being a person in the process of diagnosis and having been with someone that refused to take care of themselves (yes, the two of us in a relationship, just imagine), I cannot move past this comment without responding, I was so happy when I started seeing everything make sense and feeling a bit better and relieved, even before getting the actual medication. So, please, if it is possible, try to convince your partner, their life, not just yours, but their health will benefit SO MUCH from it.

The journey from the diagnose to understanding and accepting yourself is quite a long one, i know Alex will get there too😊. I took medication for 5 years, then dropped them due to various side effects. Now i do not need them any more, the meds sort of switched my mindset and i learned a new way of life and how to cope better. I hope you both strenght and lots of love to live a the happiest life❤

I just received my ADHD diagnosis a few weeks ago at 46. I've known for several years now, but it took that long to access a specialist for an assessment. I'm also fairly certain I'm Autistic as well but cannot afford an assessment. Life is hard when you don't know, but it's absolutely excruciating when you can't afford your basic necessities as it's happening. My heart goes out to all those who are unable to access the care that they need in life.

Really appreciate the openness as people show life up to a wedding and don’t show reality of maintaining a marriage. Also picking up what you said about the Noah khan event, you drove, sat in the seats, hugged all of that sitting or standing next to eachother (not eye contact) They often say not staring at eachother can really help guys in particular when communicating so maybe that suits you both Even then slightly to one side so have the option to look at eachother but not directly opposite xx

Funnily enough I booked my first therapy session after seeing Noah Kahan in February and I was diagnosed with adhd at age 25 a few months after that. My diagnosis and medication journey have been really eye opening. I’m on Ritalin now and the feeling of a clear mind is wild to me. Here in Germany my private insurance covered the diagnosis but if I had been publicly insured I would have had to wait almost two years to get a spot. I also started therapy at the same time because my undiagnosed adhd had spiralled into depression. Looking back at my life and wondering what could have been if I had been diagnosed earlier doesn’t really help so therapy is super helpful for that too. I can relate to the lack of hunger on medication - I know that I have to eat so I prepare breakfast or lunch but cannot eat as much as I used to because I feel full after a bite or two. Once the medication has worn off in the evening I’m hungry again and eat more. Getting used to everything takes time and even with the diagnosis I feel like it’ll take a few months until I have reached some kind of new normal. I’m really grateful for people online talking about adhd, especially in women because I was never the stereotypical hyper energetic child so I don’t know if I would have sought a diagnosis if I hadn’t found adhd content creators and deeply related to the symptoms they talked about.

I have a family member ADHD. Chases the dopamine hit with conflict its very upsetting to watch for them but also the family members who are on the recieving end just trying their best to support. It's a rough transition, but hopefully, it will end positively as it has for you and Alex ❤

You should never ever worry about what people think about your lives, you life is your life and you should never ever need to give answers or doubt about what others think. You are an amazing couple who thieve off each other it is so lovely to see. Your openness and honesty in all you have been through is inspiring. You are just both amazing and should be so proud of yourselves. But please always remember you don’t owe anyone anything. Both of you exude positivity and happiness. I wish you both all the love in the world x

so amazing you two just sat and chatted so openly about life and what's been happening for you both. Im so happy for you both that you've found light in each other and your relationship. Your smiles say it all. Also loving the little HC collection, I'm slowly adding to mine and it really is so versatile.

Thanks again (to both of you!) for being so open and honest about mental health struggles. It feels so nice to see those who have reached such career success acknowledge that if you don't properly take care of your mental health, you will see the negative effects in every other part of your life. Lots of love to you both!

Thanks for talking so openly about your relationship. I know not everything is how it seems on social media but I honestly always thought you and Alex had some sort of perfect relationship. It’s actually nice to see someone share some real shit they’ve gone through and come out the other side. Just shows that marriage is hard work but you have to be willing to put the effort and work in when it gets hard! 💕

My son was diagnosed in High School, but the meds he was given had side effects, so he stopped. Then, in his 30's decided to give another med a try, and Boom...it was a light night, and day. He was truly happy and focused; I could almost cry that he found the proper medication. What was the book that Alex had mentioned? I tried rewinding but couldn't quite make it out. Thank you for this honest and frank conversation about the effects of mental health. Thank you for the wonderful video❤
