The funny (and frustrating) thing is, we have the same amount of points as last season, have scored more, conceded fewer and lost half the amount of games compared to the same stage last season. After 20 games: 2023/24 W12 D4 L4 GF37 GA20 GD+17 PTS40 (this is what we had went to Dubai) 2024/25 W11 D7 L2 GF39 GA18 GD+21 PTS40 We definitely need to improve our attack but all things considered (VAR and injuries) it’s not as disastrous as it feels… and that’s frustrating! So right about Havertz, after Ipswich he got ill and missed a couple games, probably not at his best fitness but still out there giving 100% always, honestly one of my favourite arsenal players at the moment, one or two bad games doesn't justify the hate. we didn't sign him to be a striker but he's our top scorer in the league, the same as Duran and one behind diaz and watkins who don't receive any hate like Kai does. There’s a reason Chelsea let him go, and that alone should have been a warning sign. It’s not about hating the player, fans are just frustrated with his lack of impact. Can you honestly compare him to Haaland or Isak? These are proven strikers in the EPL delivering week after week. It’s time for Havertz to either step up his game or shift back to a midfield role where he might be more effective. This summer, serious investment in a quality striker is a must if we’re serious about competing at the top level.

Arteta goals win you games, that needs to be part of the end goal. Currently Arsenal is not scoring, XG’s do not win you games. That’s considered toxic positivity (look it up guys). In addition we are not progressing down the pitch fast enough, opposing defenses have every thing in front of them. Then you want to break them down while not having the creativity to do so. Set pieces are part of the game but we cannot keep relying on set pieces, first action is scoring in open play.

Arteta has got it all wrong tactically this season. If you look at Odegaard's positioning throughout the game, he is coming way too deep, sometimes receiving the ball at right back position. On the other side we have an inverted left back as usual. The whole point of inverting the full back is overloading the midfield, but when you take Odegaard out of it, it becomes pointless. Odegaard comes to deep, and as a result our striker has to come deeper and we just become so right side dominant without enough presence in the middle or upfront. Arteta needs to go back to basics and build up in a basic 4-4-2 without all these unnecessary rotations that kill the flow of our game. Last season it gave us a platform for that great run, but Arteta changed it for some reason.
