The San Ti are not a hive mind, thought isn’t communicated the instant it happens. All knowledge is communicated at the moment of communication. Meaning as long as you don’t communicate your thoughts and feelings are your own but the moment you communicate all is known by each entity. When the listener gets the first message they respond before communicating with anyone from their species. So they can’t lie but can hide personal knowledge as long as they don’t communicate

Kinda disagree, i love how people can be sympathetic to Ye. That's a sign of good writing. These characters are humans, flawed, and driven by their own beliefs. I'm not saying Ye's correct (I think she's wrong), but the fact the show isn;t too one sided with how they are portraying the Ye & Evan's storyline is actually a good thing. Well, up until the little red riding hood scene, RIP.

The story Little Red Riding Hood itself is being used as a metaphor by the author. What for I won't say as that can be a spoiler. But it is serving the same purpose as Raj's fathers war story and Will's conversation with his cancer.

Regarding your opening comments: The San-Ti weren't ever trying to recruit humans to solve the three-body problem. That's pointless, since their math and physics are FAR more advanced than that of humans. They were recruiting humans to be sympathetic to their cause and collaborate in their invasion.

The San Ti arent a hivemind. They communicate by broadcasting their thoughts. The show doesn't really do a good job of explaining the San Ti's whole "deal".

YOU GOTTA RELIZE WHY SHE SENT THE MESSAGE IN THE FIRST PLACE. SHE IS UNHAPPY WITH HOW HUMANITY IS GOING ABOUT THINGS. AFTER SHE WATCHED HER FATHER GET KILLED ON A STAGE, AND BEING BETRAYED BY THE GUY SHE LIKED AND THAT SOLDIER SHE WAS MORE THEN HAPPY TO GIVE THE REIGNS TO ALIENS. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY FINE WITH WHATEVER HAPPENS AS LONG AS ITS FOR HER VERSION OF THE GREATER GOOD.

Not a hivemind. San-Ti's thoughts are external, as soon San-Ti thinking of something, their thoughts are projected outward. Thinking is the same as speaking to San-Ti. It's a physiobiological trait. Their thoughts can be interpreted by other San-Ti within their immediate proximity. It is not telepathic at all.
