@@wolfiesmith1966 I remember how happy I was when Mings signed permanently after he had become one of us during his loan. Him getting on a train still in his kit. The expectation of 'when is it going to happen?' and Bournemouth playing silly buggers over the fee. Mings is a massive reason why we are where we are right now. Buendia too, absolutely gutting to see him injured in pre season when everything was coming together. I'm incredibly happy to see them both included tonight to remind them they are part of this success.

This team though seems so together & you know they've been shown the love & support they needed. No Mings, no Buendia, hardly any Ramsey, half a season without Kamara, half a season without Moreno, significant injuries to Torres and Zaniolo, and we STILL qualified for the Champions League. It has been a long walk through the wilderness, but we've come through intact and stronger than ever. This is partly a result of the efforts from players who gave everything for the club when we were down in the Championship. Without them, we aren't celebrating this tonight. I hope they are feeling a measure of pride as well.
