Almost 6 years watching the main channel and 2-3 years watching the casts personal channel, I'm still waiting for the day they will cook other recipes that don't require the same spices. The base is onion, garlic and sometimes ginger, chilli, peppercorn which is almost the same with other countries everywhere. They cook all type of meat and vege with mix whole spices, turmeric, cumin, coriander and mix masala powder for every recipe. In my country, the base usually the same but there are a lot of different recipes that use different ingredients for different meats and veges. The chilli paste recipe alone already more than 20 that I know of and have different taste, used as addition or side dish depends on what type of the other food served at that time. Hopefully I'll see something new from them someday soon..

I was wondering if they get tired of eating the same all the time
@ladylandofhornbill2 ай бұрын
@@Pam-777 They're used to it, same spices used in cooking all type of meat and vegetable whether it's to fry, make a soup or braised. Only once I saw Bhumi cook pork in the bamboo stick but mixed with the same spices too. But sometimes they add tomato, fresh coriander, dill or spring onions as well. My people used different ingredients for different recipes, I can cook at least 30 different recipes made of pork, chickens, veggies or fish that use different ingredients in each recipe and have different taste from each other. A better cook can make more than that. Our range of choices for ingredients are wider I guess or maybe we are more open to explore different spices in our dishes from long time ago, thus more recipes were created by our ancestors. I tried their chicken recipe, nice but not used to it. The curry in my place is thicker, not watery. We added cinnamon sticks, cloves, curry leaves, coconut milk among other things.

Its depend on people mindset..I thinks they just want to show their normal daily life how they survive in village..i thinks it's because of lack of education also they don't have more knowledge of cooking delicious food. they cook what they can afford..In city area you can find variety of taste with different flavours..
@ladylandofhornbill2 ай бұрын
@@DilMagar-bo1ly The ingredients in my place is not necessarily expensive though, lots of it can be found in the wild or jungle as well or planted in our own garden. I think they're just not that open for changes or exploring the other taste so they stick to the same taste by using the same spices in every recipe. Eg; cooking chicken with the spices they use creates a taste they prefer but if they cook the chicken with same method but using only ginger paste, peppercorn powder and add some white radish and carrot which they plant in their garden, it will now become chicken soup and the taste is different than the one they make. They won't try cooking other recipe without including turmeric, cumin, coriander and mix masala as main ingredients and these mixtures is strong enough to replace other ingredient's taste. I visited their country few times and some places has variety of foods but in every food I tried, there is a trace of turmeric and cumin in it. It's not bad of course, their food is yummy too but eating the same taste of food 2-3 times daily in every dish will reduce the appetite after some time. But I must say, their pork sekuwa was one of the best BBQ style I've tried in my life.
