Probably makes sense. At this point, they are out of the running for a lot and are not in any immediate danger of relegation. Better to not do knee-jerk decisions and plug a new player here and another one there. The summer transfer window should offer up much more talent and Amorim can target those who would fit into his team the best.

It's never going to end. He's going to be asked every week about how Rashford is doing at Villa. If Rashford does well it'll be "do you regret loaning out Rashford" and Rashford is playing poorly at Villa it'll be "Do you feel vindicated about your Rashford decision...." etc. The Rashford questions are going to keep coming and Rashford's PR team is going to be briefing most of the journalists in that room every single week. He won't escape the questions even if United sell Rashford in the summer. A year from now, if Amorim is still in the job and Rashford is long gone, he'll be asked if he should have kept Rashford, completely ignoring that Rashford asked to leave. Five years from now, if Amorim doesn't last and ends up leaving and doing other jobs, he comes back to the Premier League to manage Spurs (because of course he does lol) and the first question will be "do you think Rashford is the reason it didn't work out at United" and that's when Amorim will finally snap and go full on Odysseus on every journalist in that room.
