Thanks for another great reaction! The biggest reason why I prefer Home Free over other a capella groups is that they are so diverse in their abilities and ranges. Most other groups have clearly defined roles and the sound just isn't as interesting. In reality Home Free has 5 tenors, 2 bases, a number of baritones and each one of them has some beatboxing ability (nothing approaching Adam Rupp, of course). Couple that with the fact that their tenors can comfortably sing notes that are generally only associated with women's voices is just the cherry on top.

To check his extended range, y'all could go to Tim Foust's solo channel and react to "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" / "Stay." Or poke around for an audio-only recording of his rendition of "Can't Help Falling in Love" from maybe ten years ago. It isn't on his channel, but several people have posted copies of it.

Ogre, you are correct on the reason why subs ask reactors to wait on reacting to this one. Adam Rupp is a tenor and can sing pretty high. He has done background vocals on some of their covers and originals. It’s usually used as a backtrack, but on a couple of songs on their Land of the Free album.

Yes, a song with surprises. Tim who goes tenor, Austin and Rob who also hit different notes than usual, the no human vocal percussion and as a great end to the surprises the incredible bass of Chance. Simply fabulous

So the members of Home Free can stand on their heads and invert the harmonies! You all seem to understand perfectly why you needed to wait a while. By now, all the Fries are totally accustomed to a band made up of 5 tenors (Adam Rupp, when he sings, is a tenor), 2 basses and 5 beatboxers. But it's still surprising when they refuse to stay in their boxes. Love this song done in the same key that Cam did it, and enjoyed your reactions and comments!

Tim has said that his range is 10% natural ability and 90% work. He was a high tenor until his senior year of high school when his voice started dropping, and it just kept dropping. He enjoyed the ability to sing the higher parts, so he has maintained it by working hard to keep it. And yes, the differences between what everyone expects the roles to be for each member of the band and what role they take in Mayday are why every Home Fry says "don't listen to it yet" when someone starts hearing Home Free for the first time.

The guys chose to sing this in its original key as sung by Cam, a female country singer. Just proves their lack of having a female in the group is no detriment--they just let their profundo BASS handle it! 🤣 LOVE the versatility of our amazingly talented fellas!! 🥰. Tim has a 5 octave range, he can go VERY high and VERY low.. You can hear Adam Rupp sing briefly in the song "Helplessly Hoping",, he sings tenor.

Someone pick Ogre up off the floor - Adam has a lovely tenor voice, the guys say he probably has the widest range of any of them, but it is a fairly light voice so you won't hearing him SING bass any time soon. He often carries the high sustained background notes - unless it is Tim........

Yes, they have a lot of spare range for better and richer arrangements. I think Rob can also get into most of the baritone range. Hear his part in Nessun Dorma ( 2 country singers try to sing opera) where he sings a lot lower than usual and with a lot of power.

Adam Rupp has a beautiful tenor voice.. Check out "How Great Thou Art" to hear him sing. He prefers not to sing lead, he'd rather do his "thing" or sing harmony, but he does have a beautiful voice. Yep, Chance takes over bass when Tim sings lead. Tim has a 5 octave range. Than you for a great reaction 😊

You are exactly right. It’s better to know their real voices before you see this switcheroo. Tim has a 5 octave range so he can sing high with the tenors and then go back to the basement. And this isn’t as high as he can go. And Chance is great at bass so there ya go. It’s funny because there are reactors who don’t wait and they think Tim is the tenor and we have to say no, Tim is the bass! Fun! They are like a tag team. 😍😄

So this... this was first sung in the same key as Cam... that said. This is Homefree's by the way guys, we have three tenors and two basses... just because one fits both doesn't change that. LOL If any of you ever watch the reactor Mortius, I would watch his on this, it gives me the giggles every time.
