Glad to hear the news!!! im staying in Holland with partnership visa too (samenwomen visa) and with that permit i could get the same rights like dutch people. so i can apply for the same jobs, get a same income, and also i can apply to any school with european fees. In Australia, we acknowledge different type of relationship categories. Relationship such as yours is called De facto relationship where couple lives together on a genuine domestic basis, It's under the Family Law Act and you have rights regarding property settlement, child maintenance and separation etc. Unlike in Indonesia, to be legal you have to do religious ceremony then followed with civil ceremony. Here in Australia, you can choose either with an official celebrant, religious ceremonies (church or mosque) or de facto, all have the same rights.

Gratulieren Liebe Ale und Stepan!! Ich dachte, Ale muss erstmal nach Indo zurückkehren und wieder ein Partnership Einreise Visum beantragen, und danach eine Aufenthaltsgenehmigung beantragen. Das ist super schön, dass in Österreich ein Sprachkursvisum zu Partnershipsvisum geändert werden kann, ohne Zurückkehren ins Heimatland.

It's not European thing, but you can find the same case in all western country. Partnership is also known with "De facto". But, it's so amazing that you guys in Europe that you can get the same rights straight away with residence. I live in Australia. All of my friends who are in de facto or partnership visa, they have to wait about 2 to 3 years to get permanent residency. If they study, it will be paid as international students fee until they become permanent residences who pay a lot cheaper but still a bit more than citizens. But we have the same thing look you in Europe that we can also work full time. Much love from Sydney. Semangat terus ya...

Gratuliere für euch 💐🥂🍾 I came to Austria with working Visa called Rot-Weiß-Rot Karte Plus, I’ve to renew it each year for 5 years long and then upgraded to Daueraufenthalt-EU 😄 this visa valid for 5 years, but I need to show my B1 German certificate to get these types of visa. Some years ago, I decided to get österreichische Staatsbürgerschaft, I’ve passed the test 😄 which is not easy. Thirty people from different countries was in the room and only 2 people passed the test ☺️, a lady from Africa and me. Now, I am officially Austrian 🇦🇹😄

Helloooo Alicia & Stefan. Hm weirdly, my mum told me to watch this video 😂 so here I am. Me and my Belgian partner were having difficulties to find a solution for us to be together (not separated or you can say no more in ldr) but most of Indonesians will definitely recommend "Marriage" as the solution. But the thing is... It isn't that simple and easy. From the documents etc, though the documents for legal cohabitation is almost the same for marriage. during this corona, it's a bit more complicated than before, though it doesn't mean that it is impossible. My bf asked my mum about "legal cohabitation", what did she think about. So far, I think cohabitation is the best solution, it's like a step before marriage. Like this is the step the LDR couple has to face before stepping into marriage. Though cohabitation has the benefit as marriage too such as you can have your resident permit, insurance, same rights like the Europeans there and less tax also you can make contract in which in marriage is "prenup". (That's what I know in Belgium) Hahaha so I found it funny now my mum asked me to watch this video. Because I think now she kinda start to understand (???) I really can relate to you guys. Now we're trying to fulfill 3 times meeting before applying for legal cohabitation visa -which once I apply for that visa from Indonesia, I'll need to wait approximately 4 to 6 months. What a big relief! Partnership is like a common law in my view. Glad you have that option. I couldn"t imagine if you had to go LDR again, it would've been too hard after you get used to of waking up next to each other.

i think germany doesnt have this partnership option. In German you should get married instead of partnership. Please correct me if im wrong :) because i remember one of my friend she gets married because that was the only option :3.. European countries that have this partnership thingy are Holland (after 6 months in relationship), Belgium (after 2 years in relationship), France, Swiss, Austria, hmm i forgot the rest :D
