I put a deposit on this in Australia even before it is released. It is coming to Australia. When BMW first released this gen M3 and M4 I disliked the grill. Now it has grown on me. The grill suits the Touring better than the sedan or coupe. I currently own a Mercedes C63S estate. C63 is going to be a dying breed when it loses its V8 with its new 4 cylinder. Current Audi RS4 and RS5 is getting outdated with less power. Great to see BMW continue to produce performance ICE cars for us enthusiasts.

I flip cars before it depreciates too much, so I don’t lose too much on my next purchase. I don’t keep my car for more than 2-3 years.

Sehr tolle und interessante Einblicke in die Entwicklung. In einer solchen Videoreihe sieht man erstmal was für ein Aufwand in einem solchen KFZ steckt. Etwas was viele garnicht wertschätzen. In Zukunft heißen die schönsten High Performance Kombis dann wohl Touring! ;)

@@BMWM "Hallo, des sind keine schönen Worte, geschweige denn toll; es ist auch keine Motivitation zu -entwickeln-; urbane Städte-Mädels aus nichttechnischen Unis; es ist keine Motivation zu entwickeln; der M3 -Touring wird NICHT mehr entwickelt; sondern der fährt solang auf dem Track incl. Nachsitzen herum, bis er exact dasselbe trotz Gepäck; wie M3-Limo/M4-Coupe leisten kann; also weit jenseits anderen... Mädels, noch einmal, der wird nicht entwickelt und er bedarf auch insbesondere NICHT Eurer Motivation, sondern der wird Referenz;-) (Abwarten).

Erst wenn der mit Aufwand zu ändernde M3-Touring exakt ganz genauso schnell und ebenso sicher abgestimmt, den Kurs umrundet wie bereits M3-Limousine und M4-Coupe; wird er freigegeben zur Produktion...Respekt...Einen M als Touring gab es schon mal; nicht alle Tage aufgrund dieses hier genannten stets so hohen Anspruchs ; aber nun kommt endlich wieder einer; dank deutscher Autobahnen ohne generelles Tempolimit abends/nachts wird er sich verkaufen in die Welt wie "warme Semmeln", weil er alles schneller besser u. sicherer kann als regulierte lehrer-Völvös, khrislers, cadillis, lexis, masoritas, teslis u. Co. .

@@schallrauch1187 Leider sieht man bei jeglichen Wahlen eine immer stärkere Grün Tendenz. Was das bei der nächsten BT-Wahl bedeutet sollte jedem bewusst sein. Man wird sich ganz sicher auf ein Tempolimit freuen dürfen... und ob - zum Spaß - Fahrten auf der Rennstrecke irgendwann noch erlaubt sind wage ich zu bezweifeln. Aber dafür müsste man sich ohnehin noch den Sprit und die Reifen erlauben können, vielleicht erledigt sich das schon früher. ;) Die Grünen fordern das schon so lange, und zuletzt aufgrund des Krieges und der damit verbundenen Abhängigkeit. Man gebe ihnen mehr Macht und es wird passieren. Vorwerfen kann ich es nur jenen, die ihren Arsch Sonntags zur Wahl nicht aus der Bude bewegen. Und da gibt es keine Ausreden - Briefwahl ist auch immer möglich, so gut wie kein Aufwand. Briefwahl beantragen, Kreuzchen machen und in einen Briefkasten oder direkt vor Ort einwerfen... Wem das zu viel ist dem kann man ohnehin nicht mehr helfen. Dem Grünwähler an sich mache ich keinen Vorwurf, jedoch habe ich meine Meinung zu diesen Leuten - und diese werde ich hier nicht sagen da der Kommentar sonst verschwindet :) 110 oder max. 130 auf der Bahn... reicht übrigens nicht. Grün will auch noch 30kmh Innerorts. Na danke! SPD ist übrigens auch für ein Tempolimit (auf 130). Sollte man also auch bedenken.

BMW unfortunately is convinced that the US market won't purchase Touring models. Sadly it's due to the fact that they have never offered a true enthusiast Touring model. I'd be happy if we at least got the M340i Touring! (@BMW - the F31 328i/330i Touring sales aren't indicative of the US markets desire to own Touring models. It's indicative of the fact that these models are just flat out.....underwhelming). Sincerely, an ex-F31 330i Touring owner that wished his F31 had a B58 and not a B48. Stunning M3 Touring.

I don’t know why everyone is so excited about this. It’ll just be the same as the saloon (dynamically) although slightly different appearance. It’ll have cost BMW virtually nothing to create and yet they’ve generated such a hype. Could have been making a touring version for years at little extra effort but they chose to leave the market open for Audi RS. Not sure why

Selbst als RS Fahrer muss ich sagen, dass BMW die sportlicheren Auto baut. Allerdings sehen alle Fahrzeuge danach aus, dass entweder ein Zuhälter oder DVAG Strukturvertriebler drinnen sitzt. Deswegen lieber einen RS4 oder RS5 Sportback. Hat irgendwie Stil

Die Frage die ich mir aktuell stell ist: Kommt der M3 Touring noch in diesem Leben oder is der für ein nächstes bestimmt? Seit nun bald 2 Jahren zeigt BMW bilder und video wie der M3 Touring vom Hof fährt etc. und nun kommt in paar Tagen der M4 CSL raus von dem man damals noch gefühlt nichts wusste außer paar Erlkönige. Generell find ich BMW ihre taktik sehr fragwürdig der M3 erst nen Jahr nach dem 3er das Cabrio noch später und kurz vorm Facelift kommt dann der M3 Touring (oder erst nach dem Facelift) das macht Mercedes um einiges besser

Noch mehr frage ich mich, wieviele dieser M3 Touring effektiv auf der Rennstrecke ausgefahren werden, wie hier suggeriert wird Meiner Meinung nach haben alle diese neuen M3/M4 einfach nichts mehr mit den puristischen Modellen von früher gemeinsam.

@@cen121 könnte daran liegen, dass wir in 2022 leben und "Purismus" nun mal leider nur noch 1% der Autofahrer interessiert. Davon abgesehen, es gibt sogar noch Handschalter und RWD im M2/3/4, was will man denn noch???

@Right Lane Das Cockpit in dem gezeigten Prototypen wird nicht das finale sein; der Touring bekommt auch das Widescreen Display ab Produktionsstart (wie der 3er und die M3 Limousine, die das ab Juli erhalten)
