As a revert, I've had other Muslims judge me when I say I dont make my children pray. I pray that Allah will guide them and every prayer I do I ask if he wants to join me. Tell her you want her to pray because you're worried for her, but from now on you won't nag her but just try to remind her from time to time. My Islamophobic family doesn't let me pray and I don't have privacy either in a small house where doors are expected to be open all the time (except the bathroom). I grew up with nagging and abusive... when I was a kid....i had bad impression on islam and muslims.... because of nagging and abusive language towards who is not following religion....some people so harsh and cruel....i couldn't live the way i want,i couldn't study what i like eat or wear....now im depressed to the point i constantly cry....

Javaid Ahmed Ghamdi shb said that it's better to raise a wrong question (think wrong) than to raise no question at all (not think at all); and that's what we're told to do, right? I didnt use to pray until 19 and my parents never tried to force me to do. I don't remember when and how i started but i chose it by myself. Same goes for my hijab too. One of my aunt was using me as a model then i found it beautiful, this was even before beginning of my prayers. Once i saw a video on KZbin about those fasting but not praying and what's gonna happen to them. YOU DO OR CAN NOT KNOW! I know it is for making consciousness but sometimes these videos could make pressure on people or scare them away for no reason. If she or he knows it (and i think mostly they know!) then it's up to them. Let them love making good deeds, doing salats and duas.

Peace be upon you, If someone prays just because they were beaten to do so, then that would be invalid because of the faulty intention. Beating will only drive them further from Islam and they will stop praying in adulthood because you can't control people. You have to explain the benefits of prayer and give logical reasons, in my humble opinion. A reminder has to be gentle and clear. Calling people the names of cattle or screaming will only result in opposite effect. And no doubt, a sin on your part, as well as great hypocrisy. May Allah guide us all to sincerity,
