Thank you for being so vulnerable. My husband and I did long distance marriage for 2 years while he went to school. Not different countries though, different states and I had our 2 kids and got pregnant in that period too. It was tough! I came to realize marriage was not meant to be such that couples are apart. But constant communication was very important. And because communication is not just voice, it's voice, tone, facial expressions and body language, a lot is missing when it's restricted to just voice and video. I would say be gracious to each other. And when issues come up resolve them very quickly! You need each other to be able to go through this phase. Also, Yetunde, someone gave me a very important advice: she said, "You might be alone with the kids but YOU ARE NOT A SINGLE MOTHER!" Remember this and carry your husband along every little thing. if you can't call him immediately to tell him, video record it. Repeat it to your daughter, make her address her dad in those videos. It will help you both a great deal! Love you guys!!! And I'm rooting for you! I pray God's covering over your marriage, your love, your family in Jesus name! The enemy will not find a foothold to plant his evil seeds with this decision in Jesus name!

Sometimes we need to make sacrifices for the future. Long distance relationship is a big sacrifice for couples, especially the ones that are very close like both of you. I have been in a long distance relationship for the past eight years and you know what? It has been wonderful even with the challenges. I give all the glory to God, it will not be easy without Christ in us. I live in Canada with the children and my husband lives Nigeria. I am already planning relocating soon. But I must tell you, it has been really worth the sacrifice.

I can relate to bro OMG's struggle man. Editing videos non stop, producing audio while being the talent, writer and performer. And on top it, you are managing bad footage or bad audio. It's honestly just by grace. I always wondered how my brothers and sisters in Nigeria managed to be digital creators in such an environment where the mere basics are missing. From experience, I don't like long distance marriages, the person with the child/children does the most work. If one must be in a long distance marraige, both should carry each other along all the time. The mental state of each person is very important, since the decision is mutual, no one should take advantage of the situation negatively. Bro Emma, please watch out for sisques, I don't call them sisters. Those ones who want to come and cook because your wife is not around. You don't need them I beg. That is how trouble starts o because the heart of man is desperately wicked. As you have announced it, instead of some people to pray for you, they will be looking for how to enter ni o. My 1cent. I commented on Yetunde's video from a few weeks back when Farami (so sorry if i've spelt it incorrectly) said she didn't want to go back to Nigeria. First of all thank you for your honesty. Many people are going through this than you can imagine and seeing you talk about it on your platform gives peace. I moved to Nigeria 6 years ago to join hubby who had so much hope in Nigeria not once did he ever consider the idea of moving to the UK. Previously we were able to travel to the UK and back and support ourselves comfortably without any trouble. But at some point last year, we had to have an honest conversation with ourselves. It just didn't make sense anymore for us to be managing (and mind you our standard of living was dropping rapidly) when we had alternatives. Nigeria doesn't have a safety net your savings can lose so much value overnight and there's no one to rescue you. So we're moving back as a family and my heart breaks for all our workers that will now be without employment but what can we do?

But believe it or not guys there is a lot of disadvantages in long distance relationships than the advantages more than just watching a couple video online, and believing is easy or 80 percent real no no no, Yes communication is a key but is not easy as it seems,. Am in a long distance relationship different time zone and i have good communication with my husband, there is nothing we don't discuss, We laugh, talk and share our pain together and more via video. My advice, if u can avoid distance relationship, Pls do.. Father figure and presence at home is important and it lays a good foundation for our seeds in this Era that we are, I pray things will be better for Africans and we will have our family together in one place.

I am not married yet but I was discussing with my colleagues that I didn't buy to the long distance relationship for couples who haven't find their balance about going abroad and all. What I am trying to say is a case where the husband or wife goes and then the other person starts to process their visa afterwards because sometimes, the there are complications in between Kudos to you guys. There's a lot that can be said but suffice it to say; please go back home. You could relocate as a family, should your husband decide to. Too many stories to tell; So many examples to learn from. People need not make this same mistake over and over again regardless of the several reasons they might have for it. Please go back home or consider relocating as a family.
