You are obsessed with evil and deranged characters, because that is what you have been designed to be. Evil, deranged characters produce a survival response in the human body. Good novels have terrifying characters, whose evil has made them such that they can not be redeemed. They have no redeeming quality. What makes them so scary is, that once the warning signs show up people lose the ability to be alert. Alertness goes down. I am writing a novel about two public domain characters.When the protagonist begins to realise that there is an antagonist near, his warning system begins to slow down. He has just been hit by a powerful storm and does not have time to built up his defences once the villain shows up. Evil and deranged characters use circumstances which are beyond your control to outsmart you. In another story I am writing, unrest in Myanmar results in the rise of a new kind of personality cult. Personality cults are terrifying because demagogues are evil, deranged and have no redeemable quality to their character. They lack basic improvement skills. Thanks for your video.
