We love going to medieval festivals too. We have one locally every few months just down the road from us in a castle grounds. It's a Norman castle built on top of the remains of a roman keep. One of the oldest recorded castles in England in it's oldest recorded town Colchester. It's a great place to visit with a museum built inside. In May we are going to a jousting festival that's held twice yearly at Hever castle. It's where King Henry VIII courted Anne Boleyn. Another fantastic visit as you can free roam the insides too. It's like going back in time.
