@7:22 Carly assaults the bent wing! That was amazing! I raced for many years and the baseline car should be driveable almost anywhere. Sounds like you may have a bad torsion bar or mistakenly got them reversed. It happens. If I had this issue I would tear the rear end down at the hotel and rebuild it with new torsion bars, bushings and shocks. Reblock, resquare, get the torque tube right. IF that doesn't work then check the frame for cracks when you get home.

In my limited experience, when the car was unpredictable and evil like that, it was a bound up torque ball/rear end (out of square) or bad/incorrectly set shocks. It seems unlikely you'd be THAT far off on base set alone.

Sorry you had a bad night, but I love your attitude kid! Never give up. I know you have Flyin Bryan and your dad working on the car but you could always talk to Rod Tiner he won't steer you wrong. Anyway I enjoy your videos and always look forward to watching them. Thank you and good luck 👍.

Do you guys have a shock dyno to make sure that you don't have a shock problem
@T1C452 жыл бұрын
Just my opinion but it seems as though your changes from heat to feature got rid of some of that push, however not getting the forward drive and skating towards the wall after throwing it in hard to get the back around seems like a shock adjustment in my opinion. I could be wrong, totally wrong for that matter cuz I am not the one feeling what's going on behind the wheel. On a different note I know I always say it but remember your real solid fans are going through the ups AND downs right along with ya, we ain't going anywhere. We have faith in John, Lil' Sis, and You Tanner💪👍

Hmmm you know how it seemed to me like the 410 liked that chassis alot better than the other chassis meaning you ran better with the 410 in this chassis. Well in the chassis that broke the tube I noticed that it ran better with the 360 in it instead of the 410. I wish I knew more about the chassis and the set ups and the engines to know if you have to set the car up differently for each engine. Ok I just realized that I rambled on and probably didn't make any sense at all. Sorry. Maybe my rambling gets y'all to think of the problem from the perspective of what is different in the set ups between the two engine sizes. Anyways thank you for another great video showing the ups and downs of racing. Have a good one. Have fun take care

Check the right rear bar it might be a dead bar? RR Shock? it just seemed like it didnt have enough right rear weight in it... Just a observation somethings to look at. I hate being a crew chief...When there's a lot of other variables involved and im not there. Just some ideas to consider. love the Videos keep them coming!!

I don't have any clue on what could be wrong with the 18T. Some people have mentioned that you've been running on the right rear tire all season maybe that could be your problem or part of the problem but I hope y'all find out what's going on and go win a race.

a bar binding up? rear end squared up right? Bound up drive line? I am sure you have checked all that? You got a shock dyno yet?

Do you have a sprung right rear bar or does it feel like it has no compression on the right rear? See ya carrying the left front like it's getting over hard but isn't rebounding back.
@ReachOutToWilliam2 жыл бұрын
You may have a bad chassis. Time to carefully inspect, magnaflux?, stress the frame and look for cracks. It might be out of square, as well. You can't just measure the front to the rear axles. You have to check the whole chassis with measuring devices like a tram gauge and/or laser tools.

Find a old school driver/mechanic 40yrs back an ask what they did ? The new shocks are they adjustable or just tuneable by internal valving ? At any rate , I have the upmost confidence that THR figure it out ! No 2 frames are the same , they have their own soul an you have to figure out what makes it the happyest an then it will fly ! Admit it! You're having a horrible season. I'm telling you ......... Screw those KCP cars. Go Chinese. Chinese have a better understanding of sprint car racing.
