I scaled down my decorating this year, simple but beautiful. Little pre lit 4ft tree is making me very happy. No outside big yard decorations for two reasons…..1. We have two big dogs that think they are there for them to bat around and 2. We always have wind this time of year and I’d be chasing them around every day 😂

Maybe an upside down ceiling tree!! 🌲 What kind of treats does Gary like? Is he a catnip kind of guy? Or more food motivated? Mine like temptations and tell me EVERY morning that’s its treat time. Favourite quote today: Jann: “it’s getting close to bedtime” Jeanette: ”already?!” Jann “it’s after six!” Jeanette: chuckles “I suppose!” But I guess that explains how by 8am you can have been up for 3 hours already! 😊 after all, it’s the deep dark of December, so it’s nice to sleep early. I decorated the living room so far, and one cat tries to eat the plastic tree sometimes. Her favourite! 🤪 I have all my childhood decorations on the tree, from Guiding crafts or Aunts who crocheted. All topped with a weeping angel and light up TARDIS. ❤

omg - that's my fav part about the tree (not the kitty eating) ;) the memories with each ornament. Love that! anything after 6 is close to bedtime ;) hahaha Gary is definitely not food motivated, he turns up his nose at almost every treat we get him. He enjoys toys though - and we have a basket full of them and he digs through them every once in awhile, which is so adorable. :) haha

That Nordic mug with the seal is so cute! We have an artificial tree, my allergies wouldn’t let me have it any other way lol. My dog thinks the tree skirt is a dog bed for him. It’s pretty cute because he thinks he’s just a little guy, but he’s 90ish pounds and doesn’t fit on it

Gary’s facial expressions remind me of my cat very much! On Thanksgiving our kitty walked into the kitchen & I was basting the turkey. She stopped in her tracks and just stared at the turkey. Like “is that a massive dead bird in the oven?” Kitty heaven and she of course got her own pile of turkey

I’m so happy you and Jeannette had a lovely time at the party. Nice coffee press so pretty. We haven’t put up our Christmas tree yet. Just getting over being sick so no energy, but soon we will. Every year it’s a problem with our kitty too unless we use the method we used before to deter him away. It’s actually worse with dogs if you know what I mean 😂 I can imagine that Gary must get very cranky about getting his treats on time, like “mom! where have you been? I’m overdue for my treats!😾 my cat Willis meows endlessly non stop until he gets it and we don’t even go out!!🤣 looking forward to day 11.

We don’t really decorate outside, Inside we have a flocked artificial tree and I put out some holiday decor on the fireplace nothing fancy but makes things feel more festive 🎄

We have an artificial tree and 2 cats. One cat can’t be bothered with the tree and the other likes to chew it, for that one I keep a water bottle close by and gently spray him with it. It seems to be working.

We switched to an artificial tree last year. A real one was just too much and messy with our kiddos. We also have 2 autistic kiddos and they had a field day with the pine needles. 🥴😂 i miss having a real one but nothing a nice lit tree scented candle can't fix!

No mini tree(belonged to my froggy loving adopted Grandmother) up this time. Well there is a Halloween ceramic tree up, and the snowy branches tree with Butterfly ornaments that is up year round. Some timer light strings and ornaments up around out of kitty reach, and a new Snoopy & Woodstock musical snowglobe joining the Thomas Kincade Northern Cardinals traditional musical snowglobe (also belonged to adopted Grandmother). You three take care!

Oscar Wilde is one of my favorite authors, but I'm a little biased since I focused on Victorian Lit in college. Makes the little English Major in me happy. The Picture of Dorian Grey is a Gothic romantic classic. Loved the coffee ASMR. Lol. I think French press is the best tasting way to brew coffee.

I've noticed that you "often" put 1 teaspoon or 1-1/2 teaspoons of tea in your 16 ounce DT cold brew cup. Isn't the tea a little weak, or do you just like your cold brew with a hint of flavor, like some people like to "dress up" their water with a hint of flavor?

hmmm, the ice takes up a lot of room, so the water to tea is actually not too bad. It turns out well, and works for me :) Also depends on the tea (and my edits if you'd see everything) ;)

Yep, its another cat comment again. One on mine was very adamant that certain things had to be done at very certain times. Oh its morning. Time to get up out of bed and hold me. I had to get out of bed and hold her. It could not be done while in the bed. Or, its 10pm. Time to go to bed and snuggle. No, another 30 minutes is not acceptable. No it doesn't matter what is going on. I had to go to bed and hold her and pet her and she would throw little fits if it didn't happen.
