Hourglass known as Chromer in ATEEZ lore. They use it to travel to different dimension. For this era/ THE WORLD series, the order of the songs are Guerrilla - Halazia - Bouncy - Crazy form. If you watch these video in order, you will find the connection in term of storyline, songs and mvs. Guerrilla - they manage to entered the Stictland (Dimension Z which the place where any emotion and arts are forbidden). They use music to intercept the device that control people emotion and mind. The end of the MV, escaped kid from Prestige Academy asks them to save his brother. Halazia - this is the spin off for this series. Its pov from the witness. The 'blue bird' appeared for the first time here. Bouncy - After they enter the Strictland, 8 of them undercover with different identities and preparing to get inside Prestige Academy. They managed to kills Android Guardian in this mv. They use chilli pepper to smuggle the bullet. Crazy Form - I supposed they are in Prestige Academy. They all are on their mission. And this song sounds like a victory after they manage to take over the place. Idk if there will be an epilogue or something from this era/series coz from the diary version of the album, it still unfinished story 😅

Ateez are time travellling pirates, the hourglass is called the Chromer in their lore, and it helps them travel in time, it broke at the end of Deja Vu, and Yunho and Wooyoung in this MV are trying to "summon" the pirate ship by inventing a new device

You should see them perform live. If you can find a live performance of Cyberpunk (there is no music video for that song) with or without English lyrics. I highly recommend that or you could watch their symphony no. 9 to the Wonderland performance from Kingdom Legendary War, which was a battle of the bands type show that they competed on in 2021. Although Mingi was on a mental heath hiatus during Kingdom, all their performances on that show are still worth watching.

The hourglass at the end, you will see in almost all their MV's (or some time piece n sea compass) and their videos all seem linked like a story. Unlike other groups where they might only have 3 or 4 songs that link together in their videos, Ateez just keeps the chapters coming

Here's the best explanation of Ateez lore I've read to date: Ateez are pirates who were gifted that hourglass (called a chromer) which allows them to travel through time and between dimensions. At first, they are searching for treasure and having adventures, but eventually they run into these bad guys who have chains where their faces should be. The bad guys are from Dimension Z, whereas Ateez is from Dimension A which is presumably where we are as well. But there is another version of Ateez from Dimension Z called the Black Pirates (aka Halateez) who are the enemies of the no-face guys. At first Ateez teams up with Halateez to fight against the no-face guys (they are the ones in the black hats in the MVs for Answer, Say My Name, and Hala Hala). Eventually something happens and Halateez disappear (I'm not totally clear on this part) and Ateez ends up in Dimension Z instead of Halateez. What they discover is that the no-face guys are in charge of the government and they have brainwashed everyone in Dimension Z to have no emotions so that they can be controlled. Ateez sets up a subversive movement to take down the corrupt government and restore emotion to the people. To do this they use propaganda in the Guerrilla music video and chili peppers in the Bouncy music video (because apparently people can feel the burn of the spicy chilies and that helps reconnect them to feeling). They also smuggle weapons in the chilis. In this current episode (Crazy Mode mv) they need to finish taking down the government and get the heck out of Dodge. But the chromer is broken. It broke at the end of the Deja Vu music video so how are they supposed to leave? Yunho and Wooyoung are working on the pirate ship in the lab. Meanwhile Jongho and Mingi break into the lounge where the high government officials do their business and start shooting things up. They other members are being rounded up by the government but they just have to wait till Jongho kills the leader and Wooyoung wraps up their plan for getting home. If you notice that in the beginning scene there is a crescent moon and in the final scene a full moon. Ateez can only travel on the full moon. In the extra scene at the end you see the full moon, but the pirate ship and presumably Ateez as well are gone even though they left the broken chromer in Dimension Z. In the song Halazia, Yeosang has a line, "little blue bird that list it's voice." I think they are using this as a metaphor for the people that lost their emotions (if you examine the other lyrics of Halazia). At the end of Crazy Form, you can clearly hear the bluebird singing as it takes to the sky. I assume this means that the bluebird found its voice and the people found their lost emotions. But without the chromer to help them travel will they be able to get back to Dimension A or will their new ship take them somewhere unexpected?

ATEEZ’s MV’s do not do their choreos justice. It’s like they give us just enough of a tease to be like “this is fire!”. Definitely recommend watching their dance practices to get the full view of their incredibly difficult choreos. They’re known for the change up in their music. It’s sometimes like there’s 3 different songs in one. They also change their sound up with every new “era” or group of albums. They love to play with sounds from all over the world. Want another different sound? Guerrilla hits you with rock and edm. The broken hourglass is called a ‘cromer’ in their lore. It helps them travel between worlds. It was broken quite a few music videos. They’re ‘pirates’ but they also lost their ship. Crazy Form is them working to get their ship back (as you saw light up in the air at the end of the mv).

I saw your other videos and I just want to point out : Just FYI Ateez been pirates lore since 2018 and earlier :) the beat of the drums , marching band , monster aka white mask man have been with them since 2018. Just. FYI. Anyways I love Ateez. Whatever they put on right now. Rest assure it will be on other group’s next cb inspired by this lol. Anywaaays Love Ateez flawless and unique MV. They don’t have a huge staff. It’s from their tight budgeted very small company. It’s easy to take stuff away from less powerful and broke company. So proud of Ateez where they come from. They went from literally 430 sales on debut to 1 mil one day sales this cb. They went from 10 staff to hundreds. All from their hardwork and talent and most of all their OWN CREATIVITY !!!
